Who would have thought a $39,000 alligator skin backpack would have sold in this economy?

Apparently the Olsen twins did.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are laughing all the way to the bank.

The pricey alligator backpack was the first item to sell from their new nine-piece handbag collection.

But despite tough economic times, Ash is a true believer that luxury items still sell well. She revealed during a cocktail party during Paris Fashion Week:

Not good…according to critics.

Yeezy's show was one of if not THE most buzzed about show during Paris Fashion Week and it attracted one helluva crowd. Some of those sitting in the front row included Azzedine Alaia, Jeremy Scott, Joseph Altuzarra, Alexander Wang, Dsquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten, the Olsen Twins and Anna Wintour.

Also seated in the front row was Lindsay Lohan, which is pretty surprising since Kanye called her Ungaro collection the "9/11 of celebrities doing fashion".

So did the show live up to the hype?

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen made an appearance at the Montaigne Market on Thursday night to launch The Row handbags.

The twins were in their usual all black garb and kept to themselves as they made their way inside the store.

Think anyone splurged and bought the $35,000 backpack?

Surprise, surprise!

No one wanted to deal with Lindsay Lohan's ridiculous fashion week antics!

Although the hard-pAArtying actress was clearly not welcome at various events this past week in New York City, that obviously didn't stop her from showing up - and the likes of Dakota Fanning and Mary-Kate Olsen were among those not to pleased with it!

Mary-Kate and Ashley put their sister Elizabeth Olsen to work in Toronto this weekend.

The 22 year old actress hit up a party for her new flick Martha Marcy May Marlene carrying a black calfskin Classic bag by The Row to compliment her black Carven Resort draped dress.

We know Elizabeth will most likely be wearing a lot of The Row in the future, but at least she's switching it up and not attending EVERY red carpet event in a look from their collection.

As part of The Row's collaboration with TOMS Shoes, the Olsen Twins recently flew to Honduras to distribute shoes to children in need.

During their visit MKO & Ashley also stopped by classrooms and even played soccer with the locals.
