Oklahoma Votes To Make Abortion A Felony Punishable By Prison Time — Will The Governor Actually Sign This Nonsense?!
UPDATE 5:28 P.M. ET: Gov. Fallin has officially vetoed this horrifying bill! Fallin said in a statement regarding her decision to kill the awful legislation:
"The bill is so ambiguous and so vague that doctors cannot be certain what medical circumstances would be considered 'necessary to preserve the life of the mother.'"
This is horrifying!
The state of Oklahoma has gone batsh*t crazy against abortion, with their House of Representatives and state Senate both overwhelmingly voting to make the medical procedure a FELONY!!!
The state's Senate voted on Thursday afternoon by a 33-to-12 count to make abortion not only a felony, but punishable by up to three years in prison — and now, the bill is in the hands of Gov. Mary Fallin (pictured above) as she must decide whether to sign it and enact it into law.
The state also voted in the controversial bill in question to start revoking doctors' medical licenses for the "performance of an abortion" on a female patient, with only one exception: if the abortion is necessary for the life of the mother.
