Cop Who Killed 73-Year-Old Woman During Training Exercise Has A History Of Police Brutality — There's Even Shocking Video!

As you may have heard, a 73-year-old woman was shot and killed by police during a "Shoot/Don't Shoot" training exercise in Punta Gorda, Florida on Tuesday night.
Mary Knowlton had been randomly selected to act as a cop during a pretend standoff for the community event when "bad guy" Officer Lee Coel fired two live rounds into the retired librarian, killing her before she could get to the hospital.

By all accounts, this was just an unfortunate accident — the prop gun had somehow been loaded with real ammunition as opposed to blanks — but it does not help the situation that Lee has a pretty questionable history in law enforcement.
Apparently, before working with the Punta Gorda Police Department, the 28-year-old was forced to resign from Florida's Miramar Police Department after "failing to satisfactorily complete an agency field training program."
