It's a tough time for political satire when the current White House one big running joke.
No one knows this better than David Mandel and the creative team behind the acclaimed HBO political comedy Veep.
The showrunner admitted that Donald Trump's administration has made it particularly hard to satirize politics when the actual POTUS makes Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Selina Meyer look like a potty-mouthed George Washington.
And although Matt Walsh plays the world's dumbest press secretary on the Emmy winning series, actual press secretary Sean Spicer gives the dim-witted Mike McLintock a run for his money!
YouTube user Dan Ketchum proved this with the help of Spicer's latest White House press briefing blunder, in which he falsely claimed Adolf Hitler "didn't sink to using chemical weapons" on his people.
To demonstrate how we're actually living in a political comedy, Ketchum spliced together footage from Spicer's presser with Veep's closing credits — which usually tag the episode by highlighting a character's incompetency.
