Previously, we told you that Mattel was releasing a new barbie doll….
…Now, we've got some new details!
Barbie is not only changing up her look, but she's doing it for a damn good cause!
As we mentioned before Mattel has announced they are preparing to release a special edition of the classic doll exclusively for children who have cancer or who have lost their hair for medical reasons.

Barbie's got a new job…but unfortunately, it's not too fair to sea life, especially whales.
Mattel has partnered with SeaWorld to release a Barbie doll that is a whale trainer.
And this does not sit well with PETA.
PETA has sent a letter to Mattel, highlighting how abusive SeaWorld and whale training is to their animals.
In the letter to Mattel, PETA asks for a more realistic approach to the doll:

This is amazing!
Mattel announced last week they will be coming out with a special bald Friend of Barbie next year!
To ensure a traditional fashion play experience, the doll will come with various wigs, hats, scarves and other fashion accessories.
In a surprising move, Mattel has decided NOT to sell Barbie's friend in retail stores. They explained on their Facebook page:
"Through a thoughtful approach, we made the decision not to sell these dolls at retail stores, but rather get the dolls directly into the hands of children who can most benefit from the unique play experience, demonstrating Mattel’s ongoing commitment to encourage play as a respite for children in the hospital and to bring joy to children who need it most."
We think that's the right thing to do, at least for now.
What do U think about Mattel's decision???

Mattel wants a piece of that multi-million dollar Hunger Games pie!
The Barbie maker announced last week they will be releasing a new collector's doll based on Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen.
Mattel hasn't revealed when the doll will be released, but if they're wanting to ca$$$h in on the box office smash we're guessing sooner rather than later.
If they're going to come out with a Katniss doll they gotta make an Effie Trinket!
That would be #totesamaze.

Not a good couple of weeks for the Kardashian brand!!
First, Khloe had to deal with those icky rumors spread by her father's ex-wives, claiming she wasn't a biological Kardashian.
THEN, the Kardashian magazine idea was smacked down when Kris Jenner demanded full editorial control — ha, like that was ever gonna happen!
And now Mattel has apparently changed their minds on turning the K-Dash dolls into real dolls..
A rep for the company states:

We mean, just look at Amber Rose! That gurl is beautiful and FIERCE!!
So why isn't Mattel budging when it comes to making a bald Barbie?? ESPECIALLY when it's in the spirit of helping KIDS WITH CANCER!!
There's a campaign asking Mattel to make a bald Barbie so younger generations of cancer patients will feel less self-conscious without their locks.
Not only that but
