Looks like we're going to get to see Jon Hamm whip out his big, winding 14 inch episode arc in the final season of Mad Men in two, separated parts!

AMC has taken a page out of their other acclaimed show Breaking Bad's book (ahem, not Leaves of Grass), and granted Mad Men a two-part final season spread over 2014 and 2015.

On the subject of splitting up the final season like Betty and Don's marriage, AMC President Charlie Collier had this to say:

We wonder if Don found enlightenment within the sitar twang and ethereal melodies ??

Hopefully for $250,000 he at least lightened up a bit!

On Sunday’s Mad Med episode the closing scene depicted Don Draper’s lady love leaving the apartment for an acting audition, thus signifying the end of his reign over her career (and her?).

Before she trots out the door, she hands him The Beatles Revolver album…cut to closing credits and the triptastic song Tomorrow Never Knows undulating in the background.

But there is a hefty price for Don’s musical education! Not only did

Mad Men Switches Premiere Song To Make Critics Shut Up

Mr. Weiner

Hope they're happy!

The 1960s set show is famous for it's accuracy in representing the era. So, when Mad Men showrunner Matthew Weiner got backlash from critics for being inaccurate, he almost had a melt down.

Apparently a song that was in season 5's premiere episode came out 6 months after the episode is suppose to take place. Gasp!!

(You guys, Mr. Weiner is NOT used to getting negative criticism from the press!)

So, Matt has not only removed Dusty Springfield’s The Look of Love front he episode, he apologized

Mad Men Goes Shopping

mad men shopping ad

In an effort to garner the attention of fans who may have lost interest during the hiatus, Mad Men means business when it comes to their new ad campaign.

Take this one. Don Draper is looking at his reflection in a 1960s midtown retail store.

The show's founder, Matthew Weiner, calls it a "dreamlike image" that inspires visions of Giorgio de Chirico's mannequin work.

But the image placed on this ad provokes different thoughts to Mad Men fans — is Don really shopping for some PJs or is he shopping for his true self??

Weiner says all will be answered by the end of the season.

What do U think he's looking for???
