This first look at Brad Pitt's World War Z (above) features a war-torn world devastated by brain-hungry armies of the walking dead. All we can say to that is, "phew!"

Don't get us wrong, we aren't relieved to see the world ending. We just figured the adaptation of Max Brooks' great apocalyptic novel might never hit theaters!!

Saying this movie was in production hell would be putting it mildly!!

It was bogged down by rewrites, director quarrels, more rewrites, studio intervention, and everything but a literal zombie outbreak on set!

In other news, BPitt is still totes dreamy!!

Keep your survival kits handy, the first full WWZ trailer hits airwaves on Thursday!
