McDonald's has pulled a radio ad for their new McBites which are like mini chicken nuggets.
The radio ad listed four things that are riskier than trying new McDonald's McBites.
"-Shaving your hair just to see what it would look like.
-Naming your son Sue.
-Giving your friends your Facebook password.
-Petting a stray pit bull."
The last one has angered pit bull owners who are tired of the unfair bias against their dogs, who when raised properly can be sweeter and more loyal than any other breed out there.
It prompted the creation of the Facebook page: Pit Bulls Against McDonald's.
"The ad was insensitive in its mention of pit bulls. We apologize.
As soon as we learned of it, we tracked the source and had the local markets pull the ad immediately. We'll do a better job next time.
It's never our intent to offend anyone with how we communicate news about McDonald's."
We think it's a smart move to pull the ad but the damage may have already been done.
We wonder how many pit bull owners are going to risk eating McBites…
