
We're running out of ways to say the NHL and the Player's Association are going to sit down to another meeting.
We just previously mentioned that the NHL canceled all the games through December 30th.
Even though almost half the season has already been cancelled, including the All-Star weekend and the Winter Classic, both sides have decided to sit down and meet again.

We just previously mentioned that the NHLPA declined the NHL's 50-50 revenue split offer and the NHL turned down all their counter-offers.
So the NHL has canceled 135 games through November 1st.
That's 11% of the season!

Finally! Some friggin progress!
As we previously mentioned, the NHL and the NHLPA (player's association) have been butting heads over who gets what cut of the revenue.
As of last season, players were getting a 57% cut of the revenue brought in by the NHL.
The NHL wanted to cut that down to 43%!
So of course they had trouble reaching middle ground.
Finally though, it's looking like the lockout might be ending soon.

The NHL has recently offered a new proposal to the Player's Association according to NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr.
