Way to go, Jack!
We know you’re still heartbroken over breaking up with your
sister wife but, between scoring the Lone Ranger score and your solo album debuting at number one , you can afford to dry up those tears with crisp Benjamins!!
Blunderbuss marks the first time Jack has ever sat atop the charts — so congratulate him if you see him at the taxidermist's!!
Adele sits near the top of the charts for the 62nd week in a row.
WOW! That's a really long time!!
Number two ain’t so bad, girl.
That’s how some people score quality time with Gerard Butler!
Lionel Ritchie’s twang-filled Tuskegee also says "hello" from number three and Nicki Minaj’s Starship crash-lands in eighth.
Finally, Some Gotye Album That We Used To Love
before we were forced to listen to it 42 times per day holds tight at number nine.
Do U think Jack can hold on for a second week in a row??

Jack White has made it clear that The White Stripes are donzo, but he wants everyone to know that it's not his fault!
In a recent New York Times Magazine profile, the singer revealed that it was actually his ex-wife and drummer, Meg White, that wanted to end the band for good, explaining:

It's been four years since the duo have put out any new music, but still fans were hoping for the best. Unfortunately, we come bearing bad news.
As of this morning, according to the band's official website, The White Stripes have officially broken up. Meg and Jack White have decided to go their separate ways and continue to pursue other musical ventures without the other. On the site's main page they explain:
"The reason is not due to artistic differences or lack of wanting to continue, nor any health issues as both Meg and Jack are feeling fine and in good health. It’s for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way…Third Man Records will continue to put out unreleased live and studio recordings from the White Stripes in their Vault subscription record club, as well as through regular channels…The White Stripes do not belong to Meg and Jack anymore. The White Stripes belong to you now and you can do with it whatever you want. The beauty of art and music is that it can last forever if people want it to. Thank you for sharing this experience. Your involvement will never be lost on us and we are truly grateful.”
All good things must come to an end, we guess.
We wish them both luck that they find happiness in their new musical lives and hope that perhaps one day, their paths cross again.

Although they've been on hiatus since 2007, Meg and Jack White are returning to the studio to record another album.
"We thought we'd do a lot of things that we'd never done: a full tour of Canada, a documentary, coffee-table book, live album, a boxed set. It was one long project that took almost three years.
Now that we've gotten a lot of that out of our system, Meg and I can get back in the studio and start fresh."
OMG! Cannot wait!
