The internet completely lost its chill on Friday morning when Nick Carter tweeted Mel B, because he proposed that the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls go on tour together!
OMG! We would DIE!
He wrote on Twitter:
Ever since we saw this we have been crossing our fingers — and toes — that it's actually happening!

Because, honestly, who wouldn't want to see Nick, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell sharing a stage with Mel, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell?
But later that day, Nick took some time out of his Dancing With The Stars rehearsal to dish about the rumors swirling on social media, saying:
"I actually did a little Twitter shout-out to Mel B because we're friends and I said, 'Hey this could be a cool idea. What if we did a Backstreet Boys-Spice Girls tour?'"
The former boy bander explained that this brilliant notion wasn't just whipped up on a whim:
"And there were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys tour in the past. I think this would be that last hurrah—the two big groups from the late '90s. Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together."
Sooooooooo? Is it happening?! Nick revealed:
