Mel Grieg and Michael Christian must be feeling all kinds of relief!

The Australian DJs who orchestrated the now infamous prank call to a London hospital concerning Kate Middleton and her unborn child will NOT be charged with the death of Kate's nurse, Jacintha Saldanha.

We previously reported that it would be highly unlikely for the fired pranksters to be charged with anything, but it was today that The Crown Prosecution Service announced their official decision.

The CPS said in a statement:

Though the Australian DJs who prank called Kate Middleton's late nurse, Jacintha Saldanha, lost their jobs as a result of the tragedy, it sounds like they most likely won't have to worry about any criminal charges.

It had previously been rumored and reported that Mel Greig and Michael Christian could be criminally charged for the event leading up to the nurse's suicide.

Now, they allegedly may not face ANY legal penalties!

Earlier today, the London Metropolitan Police stated that they've concluded their investigation and have since given the file to the Crown Prosecution Service for them to determine the DJs fates.

The DJs must be devastated!

As more details from Jacintha Saldanha's suicide notes are made available, we are learning the nurse and mother of two also blamed Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian for their parts in the radio prank which occurred days before she took her own life.

In that note, she reportedly expressed a deep anger toward the DJs who incidentally targeted her in a prank designed around getting in touch with Kate Middleton who was then being hospitalized for minor complications resulting from her pregnancy.

The DJs admitted to feeling bad enough before being directly implicated by Jacintha for their part in this whole tragedy — they must feel awful now.

Australian radio DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian worst fears have come true!

Jacintha Saldanha's reasons for taking her own life are coming into focus, and it's clear the infamous Kate Middleton hoax weighed HEAVILY on her mind as she made her decision.

As we reported yesterday, the nurse/wife/mother of two left behind three different suicide notes after apparently hanging herself.

We now know two of those notes specifically reference the prank phone call and the subsequent fallout at King Edward VIII hospital.

When Aussie DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian called King Edward VII Hospital last week posing as Royals, they were unprepared for what would follow!

Nurse Jacintha Saldanha took her own life, and the DJs are left trying to figure out what went wrong as their radio station tries to ensure this horrendously unfortunate event can never be replicated

Regardless of the appropriateness of the prank, it's clear Mike and Mel are sorry for how their actions may have contributed to Jacintha's death.

The 2Day FM station has since canceled the morning show, suspended advertising sales, banned any further prank calls, and began a company-wide review of "relevant company policies and processes."

The world is deeply saddened by this senseless tragedy.

Hopefully Jacintha's husband and kids are coping as well as can be expected.

Well this is just odd!

It seems 2DayFM, the Australian radio station that suspended DJs Michael Christian and Mel Greig for their Kate Middleton hospital prank, has a history of orchestrating dangerous hoaxes!

Back in 2009 another program on the station called the Kyle and Jackie O Show paid a listener $1000 to call her sister and try and make her believe that their mother had been horribly injured and needed medical assistance…

UMMMM WTF?!?!!

Well, the sister DID call authorities and paramedics rushed to the scene, where they obviously found the mother to be perfectly fine.

Police even ended up launching an investigation into the prank!
