bob dylan memorabilia for sale

If he doesn't find any takers, maybe he can just give it all back to Bob! ha!

70-year-old Mel Prussack is on the search for a university in the United States to be a permanent home for his Bob Dylan memorabilia collection.

Mel is hoping that a university will take his collection and put in on display, so people will get to enjoy his collection after he dies.

So far he spoke with Princeton University, but they turned him down, and now he's speaking with the University of Minnesota, which is Bob's home state.

Here's what Prussack had to say about his efforts to get his collection put up on display:

"(It's important) people know that I have these things and I want to put it somewhere. I want to try and educate the young people to understand why Dylan was such an important figure, because our whole times are going to be studied through his work."

For those of you out there who are hardcore Dylan fans, here are some of the key items in his collection:

- Keychian Dylan threw into crowd at William Paterson University show in '97

- Guitar Picks

- Promo jar of "Traveling Wilburys Twist Peanut Butter and Jelly"

- Drumsticks signed by Bob's percussionist Mickey Jones

Good luck finding a home for Dylan's stuff, Mel! It'll all work out eventually!
