TNT has canceled Jason Lee's Memphis Beat, which means the show will not return for a third season next year.

The network released a statement on the show's cancelation:

"The network thanks everyone involved in the production of Memphis Beat for their work on the series, including the great cast and crew."

This is the third show that TNT has canceled recently. They've also dropped Men of a Certain Age and HawthoRNe.

Is it just because of low ratings or is TNT looking to revamp their programming?? Inneresting…

Quite a run she's having!

First, Miranda Lambert takes home four awards at the ACM's last weekend, and NOW she's got a TV series in the works!

Lambert will be working with ABC Family on an hourlong scripted series, which will be based on her childhood, and will "center on a Texas family where the kids help their PI parents in solving cases."

Wowsa! You must have had quite the childhood, Miranda!

The show is currently in early stages of development, and it's being written by Memphis Beat writer Scott Kaufer.

Executive producers include Kaufer, Lambert and her mother Bev, Lambert's manager Marion Kraft, and Aaron Kaplan.

Congratulations, Miranda! Under different circumstances, we might not be too excited by the premise…but the fact that it's based on your childhood def adds something to it.
