Representative Aaron Schock of Illinois, who is the youngest member of the House of Reps, showed off his ripped abs on the cover of this month’s issue of Men’s Health.

The magazine says that he was chosen for the cover to inspire Americans to jump-start their health.

Said David Zinczenko, editor-in-chief of Men’s Health:

“As the fittest congressman, who better than Aaron to help promote a healthy lifestyle. He is deeply committed to health and fitness and is the perfect spokesperson to help motivate people to change their eating habits and their attitudes towards weight and health – and not just for the summer, but for life.”

We agree! And kudosto Schock for both working his butt off to represent our country, as well as working his butt off in the gym!

On his role models
“Anthony Hopkins. His whole approach to this business, his work ethic and attitude on set was inspiring, however many films down the track he still has that and he still is excited to be there and treats everyone as equals and everything he does, he is an impressive person. I love Paul Giamatti, Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, and Matt Damon, ya know, I could go on and on.”

On fearlessly searching caves in Australia as a kid
“We built wooden swords and hammered nails into them, and we checked out the cave. My friends and I were convinced we’d meet some ghosts and devils.”

On why he loves being an actor
“I always loved film, but never thought about it as a career choice. I had a different idea of what I wanted to do professionally every week. You know, I was a lawyer one week, a doctor, a sportsman in some way, and then I found out I can pretend to do all those things in acting.”

Here’s what Garrett Hedlund had to say about his body and Tron:

On personal body confidence:
“You might think the thinner version of yourself is going to be the most positive or confident, but that’s not how it is for me. When I’m over 200 pounds, that’s what I’m the most confident version of myself.”

On getting into shape for the Tron suit:
“They do a body scan so they can formulate the suit around you. It’s three-quarters of an inch of foam rubber that fits you like a glove. If you have a belly your scan’s going to have a belly.”
