True Blood’s Stephen Moyer In Men’s Health

True Blood’s Stephen Moyer In Men’s Health

We’re not sure if we’re more attracted by the fact that he plays a vampire or that jaw line.

Either way… damn.

Stephen Moyer of True Blood is on the cover of this month’s issue of Men’s Health.

In the interview he talked about romance with his wife, fitness, and going to the gym.

Stephen on meeting his costar and future wife, Anna Paquin
“I was intrigued by her. She was very open about work. But she was withdrawn [personally]. I was like, ‘Here I am, here’s everything I got.’ I remember leaving the screen test and thinking, God, I’d like to spend more time with her. I remember getting back to London [after the pilot] and just going, ‘I have to keep speaking to this person.’ We began speaking every night on Skype for 2 or 3 hours.”

Stephen on persistence at the gym…
“There’s no immediate payoff. Sometimes it feels like it’s taking forever to see results. It takes commitment and time, but when you start to see results—when you feel a bit leaner or you’re doing more reps—you start to think, Wow, I can see a difference! And it’s palpable. I recommend it.”

Stephen on his true fitness personality…
“I’m an English boy. I played a lot of sports growing up, but I never had any kind of workout regimen. My working out was with my right arm and it involved a pint glass.”

Stephen on having a trainer…
“I find that I don’t go at it if I don’t have someone making me. You’d be amazed at how quickly I let it all go. I think half of what a trainer does is make you feel shame if you don’t show up.”

Why Stephen goes to the gym…
“I didn’t want my kids to look back at the show in 20 years’ time and go, ‘Who’s that slobby git? Oh, it’s you, Dad.’”

Stephen on his True Blood co-star, Ryan Kwanten…
“[Kwanten’s character] walks into a room and takes his shirt off. That’s his normal entrance. Ryan has minus 6 percent body fat.”

Stephen on the value of stillness…
“[The actors] who go into the room and don’t do anything are the ones who turn people’s heads. Might not be able to act for shit, but they’re the ones people are interested in. They want enigmatic.”

Congressman Poses Shirtless On Men’s Health Cover

More like CongressmanMEAT! LOL!

Representative Aaron Schock of Illinois, who is the youngest member of the House of Reps, showed off his ripped abs on the cover of this month’s issue of Men’s Health.

The magazine says that he was chosen for the cover to inspire Americans to jump-start their health.

Said David Zinczenko, editor-in-chief of Men’s Health:

“As the fittest congressman, who better than Aaron to help promote a healthy lifestyle. He is deeply committed to health and fitness and is the perfect spokesperson to help motivate people to change their eating habits and their attitudes towards weight and health – and not just for the summer, but for life.”

We agree! And kudosto Schock for both working his butt off to represent our country, as well as working his butt off in the gym!

Chris Hemsworth Rocks Cover Of Men’s Health

Chris Hemsworth Rocks Cover Of Men’s Health

Chris Hemsworth is playing the muscle-popping Thor in the upcoming movie, Thor.

He’s also on the most recent issue of Men’s Health and looking super hawt. Inside the issue he discusses role models, caves in Australia, and acting.

Check out these excerpts:

On his role models
Anthony Hopkins. His whole approach to this business, his work ethic and attitude on set was inspiring, however many films down the track he still has that and he still is excited to be there and treats everyone as equals and everything he does, he is an impressive person. I love Paul Giamatti, Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, and Matt Damon, ya know, I could go on and on.”

On fearlessly searching caves in Australia as a kid
“We built wooden swords and hammered nails into them, and we checked out the cave. My friends and I were convinced we’d meet some ghosts and devils.”

On why he loves being an actor
“I always loved film, but never thought about it as a career choice. I had a different idea of what I wanted to do professionally every week. You know, I was a lawyer one week, a doctor, a sportsman in some way, and then I found out I can pretend to do all those things in acting.”

Cover Fail!

Filed under: Oops!Nicole KidmanKate HudsonSpread 'Em

Harper's Bazaar has pulled a Men's Health by copying themselves!

The mag's recent issue featuring Nicole Kidman is almost identical to last year's January issue with Kate Hudson.

Not only are they both posed with their hair blown back while wearing similar white dresses the text is practically the same.

Time to get some new ideas, Harper's.

Garrett Hedlund Rocks Cover Of Men’s Health

Star of Tron Garrett Hedlundmade it on the cover of Men’s Health this month and is looking mighty fine!

Here’s what Garrett Hedlund had to say about his body and Tron:

On personal body confidence:
“You might think the thinner version of yourself is going to be the most positive or confident, but that’s not how it is for me. When I’m over 200 pounds, that’s what I’m the most confident version of myself.”

On getting into shape for the Tron suit:
“They do a body scan so they can formulate the suit around you. It’s three-quarters of an inch of foam rubber that fits you like a glove. If you have a belly your scan’s going to have a belly.”

Looking good, bb.

Dreamy Tom Hardy!!!

If Tom Hardy was in our dreams, we would never want the kick to come!

Men's Health was smart enough to nab Inception's uber sexy Tom Hardy for this month's issue, chatting him up about his past, present and future. Guy's had a pretty interesting life thus far! Here are a few excerpts:

On his past addictions: “I thought I’d have a little bit of a party, and I’d end up high and frightened, in places that scared me. In a blackout I could end up anywhere. I might wake up somewhere the other side of London, or in another country. Or in bed with someone I didn’t know, not knowing how I got there. Bleeding. This was on a daily basis. And I was going to work. I didn’t want to appear rock ’n’ roll. I didn’t want anyone to know I was out of control, but I couldn’t hide it. Eventually, the body gives up. My body told me. I was completely kaput. I was lucky I didn’t get hepatitis or AIDS.”

On his potential: "There comes a point when the world will stop rewarding potential and talent, natural gifts. There’s only so long that people will put up with the potential of working with someone who could be brilliant. . . To be told ‘Tom could do it’ was enough.” There comes a point where if you want to participate at a certain level in anything, you cannot just turn up and be respected. We all want to be recognised by people that we recognise. And a lot of the people who I think are brilliant – and who I want to be more like – work their f**king arses off, constantly. . . Over time, technique wins over natural ability. People who work hard, with constant application, determination and tenacity – although they may not be as interesting, or have as much flair – will win."

On his fear of failure: “Success or failure were different masks for the same beast, which is fear. So it was better to be a no show than to be a poor show. It still bolsters up my false pride, my ego, when I say ‘well I didn’t try, so you never know how good I’m going to be. And that way you can busk many years. Jay-Z says ‘this is me making it up’ – meaning ‘imagine if I wrote something, if I really cared’. And he’s saying that as a joke, but it’s the same sentiment.”

On his son: “Louis arriving was an absolute godsend. Children need things. Not want things. Want and need are two different things I have always mixed up. When Louis came along he was like, ‘You can’t think about you! I’m here!’ It separated a lot of my selfish behaviour.”

What a good papa!

We hope Hollywood sees this guy's potential and keeps him around for a long time!
