The working man's current hero, JetBlue diva Steven Slater, is facing some pretty serious jail time for what many are calling a FABOOSH declaration of resignation, but what the law is calling reckless endangerment.

However, sources claim that Slater is ready to seek psychiatric help as part of a plea bargain!

Slater's lawyer and the DA have met to sort out a deal before his hearing, and if they can agree to a lesser sentence, Slater will allegedly admit himself into a mental health program!

Probably a smart move either way, to be completely honest! We're sure there's some issues he needs to sort out!

We hope you guys can work out a decent deal, though! Seven years behind bars for what happened is RIDICULOUS!

Russell Brand says that he was so drugged out while filming his short-lived British TV show RE:Brand, he started to suffer from a "mental breakdown" and the show itself was a "cry for help."

He says he can't believe he was allowed to continue doing the show, which was notorious for crazy pranks like taking a bath with a homeless man and masturbating a gay man in a bathroom.

He adds:

"That entire show was probably a cry for help. I was a junkie when that show was on the air. Within two or three months of it ending, I was in rehab. That was the last dice throw of a desperate man. I t was less a cry for help than a mental breakdown on film. Jackass was a popular TV show at the time, and I was trying to do a psychological version of Jackass. When I watch it now, I still can't believe half of what I was doing."

Sounds pretty insane!
