Nic Cage’s son Weston is in the hospital, just six weeks after getting married.
Weston was deemed “ill” after an altercation with his trainer, where he “freaked out” after his trainer told him he couldn’t eat something off the menu.
He’s now being held in the hospital, and could stay there indefinitely, at least for the time being, due to laws requiring the government to detain people who are mentally unstable and pose a threat.
Nic Cage is reportedly staying with him for the time being.

Last month, Demi Lovato demonstrated her empathy/sympathy for other people suffering from mental illness when she commended Catherine Zeta Jones on Twitter for her decision to seek treatment for her Bipolar II disorder.
Now, Demi has continued speaking up for individuals suffering from mental illness, but this time she's taking on cyber bullies who make fun of Bipolar and other mental illness issues:
"I wish there wasn't so much pressure on society to be thin. It makes recovery so much harder."
"My heart goes out to any and all women who deal with this daily battle. I can't stand it when people make fun of the diseases so many people struggle from."
"Along with making fun of illnesses or diseases, doing it over the internet only makes you more of a coward. Not to mention you've performed the act of cyber-bullying, something that is equally wrong and unacceptable."
We wholeheartedly agree with you, Demi. Thanks for continuing to speak up on such an important issue!

Steven Tyler made a brief appearance at last night's Prism Awards, which is a ceremony by the Entertainment Industries Council that honors accurate depictions of substance abuse and mental health issues in movies, TV, and music.
During his speech on stage - while presenting friend Richie Supa with an award for the song Last House On The Block - he revealed that they both have a serious history with drug abuse!
"Richie and I would have gotten a Grammy from Beelzebub for all the drugs we took. I was snorting fucking Lunesta; doing Nepalese Temple Balls."
Wow. Scary stuff, right?
Such a relief to know that he's maintaining his sobriety now, though! It's scary to think that he was circling the drain that badly.
Congratulations on getting yourself cleaned up! That cannot be an easy thing to do!
You should be proud of yourself for how far you've come!

Wow, Roseanne! Way to put both Charlie Sheen AND Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre in their place!
Here's what Roseanne had to say about the two
and a half men on her blog post entitled "Charlie Sheen Makes Me Look Sane":
this thread is for charlie sheen talk and mental illness talk. Charlie is not on drugs, though he can get them from the porn star goddesses that come and go, but his urine shows clean–i think charlie is in a manic high, and is unable to get any drugs to bring him down anymore—his tiger blood statement is from that "eye of the tiger" focus that manics have. Manics can really work hard and play hard at the same time, until they hit a wall, and then they are in bed and depressed for a long time, so they start taking drugs again to get energy to work. Charlie, take a break dude. Go to Greece, Paris, China, look at great art and lay low. you got fired, dude. anybody can do your job, really. other guys are funny and not repulsive to intelligent women, though those shit chuck lorre lines could choke a fucking horse, and render any actor who recites them stone cold soul dead. No grown man could really look himself in the mirror knowing that he delivers shit jokes and adolescent sniggering over breasts and women's body parts lines to the Tea partier types who are big fans of Chuck's hilarious hijinx. I fired Chuck Lorre for being a big drunk on my show, and he went on to become one of tv's most successful writers (about dick jokes). Maybe Charlie can start producing porn movies now!!
Pret-ty intense stuff, Ms. Barr…although we agree with what you're saying about Charlie being manic.
What do U think about Roseanne's unforgiving Charlie/Chuck comments?

Indiana teenager Andrew Conley told his girlfriend that he wanted to be just like Showtime's serial killer Dexter just a few weeks before murdering his 10-year-old brother.
The 18-year-old pled guilty to the crime and received his sentence of life in prison without parole from Ohio Circuit Judge James Humphrey this week.
"He deserved life, and that's what he got," said Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard. It was believed that he dwelled on the "horrendous and personal nature of the killing."
The crime was truly sick! Conley chocked his brother while they were playing until he passed out. Then, he took him into the kitchen, put on gloves and proceeded to strangle him for 20 minutes. He put two plastic bags over his head to continue the suffocation and repeatedly banged the boy's head on the ground before loading him in the trunk of his car.
With his brother still in the car, Conley drove to his girlfriend's house and gave her a promise ring!
He joked with his parents and asked his father for condoms the following morning and never admitted to the crime. Conley also admitting to standing over his father's bed and considered cutting his throat while he was sleeping.
"He was a 17-year-old boy and there was evidence of mental illness," said defense attorney John Watson. "It seems to me that some of that could be interpreted differently by different folks."
Conley is likely to appeal the sentence.

C'mon! She was entertaining! What gives?!?!
Shirlena Johnson performed a magical "musical exorcism," as Simon Cowell put it, last week on X Factor. The weird performance landed her a spot to compete in the following week, but no more!
Sources confirm that she was cut from the show after she "misled" producers regarding her mental illness.
Um, we don't know how one would be misled by that after watching her performance! Clearly, she is CRAZY PANTS!
Check out her audition video (above) to see if you agree!

That's the question many movie distributors are asking themselves when viewing Joaquin Phoenix's new documentary titled I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix about his efforts to become a successful rapper.
With scenes of Joaquin snorting cocaine, ordering call girls, having oral sex with a publicist, and abusing his assistants have studios perplexed on not only how to market the film, but also whether or not Joaquin is playing an elaborate joke on his audience or just merely showing his true colors.
The movie, which is directed by Casey Affleck who is married to Joaquin's sister Summer, is said to include male frontal nudity and even a scene where someone defecates on Joaquin while he's sleeping.
It all sounds like an obvious piece of
bad performance art to us, but how far will the actor go???
