Has Kylie Minogue Called Her Music Career QUITS?!

kylie-minogue-plans-to-focus-on-acting-instead-of-music-manager-split

NO! NO! NO!

We can't deny that she hasn't given her music career 110% over the course of her 25 years as pop ICON, but the idea that she's decided that she's done all that she can in that medium is simply DEVASTATING!

However, reports have surfaced that Kylie Minogue has decided to give up singing ENTIRELY to focus on acting…and has even split from the man who help jumpstart her into show-business at 19, Terry Blamey!

Insiders claim that the 44-year-old made the difficult decision after tensions escalated between her father and long-term manager due to her label, Parlophone, being sold to Universal, and she felt like going out on a high note!

As they explain:

Starbucks Improving Their Pastry Offerings!

Starbucks Bakery

So, how does Starbucks improve their pasty offerings?

Hire a better baker for their locations? Or a baker at all??

Nope! They drop $100 million in cash to buy an entire small bakery chain.

It's true: baked goods and pastries from La Boulange will start replacing its current lineup early next year.

There are also plans to make the San Francisco-area bakery into a national presence in the years ahead — so look out for twice as many places to inundate your everyday lives!

Ha!

Interestingly enough, a third of the purchases in its U.S. locations now include a food item. So this is probably a good move on their part!

Does this mean they'll be going after Panera now??

Dolce & Gabbana Consider Closing D&G

dolce-and-gabbana-may-merge-dg-with-signature-line.jpg

What?

Dolce & Gabbana may close their D&G label, but not completely.

WWD reports the designing duo may merge the younger D&G with their signature line, which is surprising since it pulls in $531 million on its own.

Many retailers commented on the move, and the reactions are mixed.

Armando Branchini of Milan-based consulting firm InterCorporate said merging the two would be a mistake. He explains:

"They need to cultivate multiple consumer targets and different price points, and to scratch the D&G brand is a bold decision. In light of its awareness in new markets, especially Asia, it could be a mistake."

While another retailer completely disagreed:

"The two lines sort of cannibalized each other. There was some confusion surrounding them, and the D&G pricing was too close to that of Dolce & Gabbana."

Personally, we like the lines separate.

What do U think of the merge? Yay or nay???

GaGa Talks More About Born This Way!

lady-gaga-talks-more-about-new-album-born-this-way

We are seriously DYING with anticipation!

Lady GaGa once again opened up about her new album, Born This Way, and is calling it her "most innovative" yet!

She explains:

"The album is a marriage of electronic music with major, epic, dare I even say, metal or rock 'n' roll, pop, anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats. It's finished and all, it's just fine-tuning everything. It's kind of like the post-operative stage of the album. I've already done the full heart surgery. I'm just sewing myself back up again. I think that lyrically this album is more poetic. It's really written by the fans, they really wrote it for me because every night they're funneling so much into me. So I wrote it for them. Born This Way is all about my little monsters and me, mother monster."

Metal in there, too, bb?!

If anyone can merge those different sounds together in a successful way, it's YOU. We anticipate greatness!

Mash-Up! Details On The Facebook/MySpace Merge!

This is so crazy!

Myspace made the announcement today that they will be 'mashing up' with Facebook, which is a new feature that will allow Myspace users to create a personalized stream of entertainment content, via the information in their Facebook profiles!

Myspace CEO Mike Jones explains:

“We are thrilled to further our collaboration with Facebook through Mashup with Facebook. This new feature is a great illustration of our strategy around social entertainment and enabling the real-time stream. The stream is one of our most popular features on Myspace, and it is now delivering an even richer entertainment experience of relevant content for our users to enjoy. I’m particularly excited because so many people will be able to have the immediate satisfaction of enjoying their own entertainment program that they have customized themselves as well as connecting to all their passions and to the Myspace community at large.”

Dan Rose, VP of Partnerships and Platform Marketing on Facebook, continues:

“Sharing entertainment and music interests is part of many of our friendships, online and off. Myspace is giving people an easy way to bring their favorite bands, celebrities and movies from Facebook to create a personalized experience on Myspace from the start.”

Some of the many new features will include:

* Facebook “likes” and “interests” are matched to relevant Myspace topic pages, profiles, video programming and other content in entertainment categories such as, music, celebrities, TV, and movies

* Tailored recommendations of new topic pages and profiles are surfaced in real-time to enable discovery of new entertainment experiences and greater customization

* Subscriptions to a broad array of entertainment programming, including originals, exclusives and content from around the Web are automatically enabled based on personal preferences and settings

* Passionate fans within the Myspace community are connected through “friending” and “following” features of Myspace topic pages and profiles

Check out the instructorial video (above) to see how you can do it to your profile!

This is a pretty brilliant plan, we have to admit!

Dare we say that it could save Myspace from its current status as the elephant graveyard of the internet?

We'll have to wait and see!

What do U think?? Will U mash-up your Facebook and Myspace profiles? Do U even still have a Myspace profile??

P.S. CLICK HERE to "like" Perez on Facebook!

Jeff Zucker FIRED! And Talking About It!

web-zucker__opt1.jpg

He really screwed the pooch with Conan, so we're not surprised!

Insiders are revealing that Jeff Zucker was indeed FIRED this morning, after having a conversation with Comcast COO Steve Burke two weeks ago to discuss what would happen after to the two merged.

Zucker reportedly finished finalizing the details of his severance package this morning, hence the sudden announcement to his employees! And now he's talking to the press about his firing stepping down!

He explains:

“He made it clear that they wanted to move on at the close of the deal and I was completely comfortable with that. We had both gotten to the same place. Look, I knew from the day this was announced that this was a possibility. I wasn’t going to shut the door on anything. But in the last nine months it became increasingly clear that they did want to put their own team in place — and I didn’t want to end up being a guest in my own house."

Good riddance, bb!

Let's just all hope things start looking up from here on out!

And in case you're interested, check out the e-mail he sent to entire staff of NBC Universal this morning AFTER THE JUMP!
