Alec Baldwin opened up about some of his upcoming projects recently in an interview after being honored by the Roundabout Theatre Company (which is his second honoring in as many weeks).
Unfortunately, he broke the news that he has dropped out of Men In Black III, because of what he claims were scheduling issues.
We don't blame him even if it wasn't scheduling issues, because of the script and shooting problems the production has been going through.
He is, however, super pumped about Rock of Ages and will even be taking vocal lessons in case they make him sing more than just really small parts!
Alec says:
"I'm excited to be able to work with Tom [Cruise] and Adam [Shankman]. I love Adam — he directed the Oscars when I hosted — but to do a movie with Tom will be fun. I think they have us all sing something. I think I'm going to sing, thankfully, something very modest; I might sing 'Yeah, yeah, yeah,' or something like that. Does that surprise you that I would take lessons? You have to, you have to take it seriously."
You're right! While we're sure it'll be a blast and you can have a ton of fun, taking it seriously is what's going to make the project really take off!
We're sorry to hear about the MIB III issues, Alec, it would have been better with you on the team, but we're agree that you gotta do what you gotta do!
Are U more excited for MIB III or Rock of Ages??
