Michael Bay has a reality check for anyone who thinks Transformers 4 is a reboot.

Which to be fair was a realistic explanation after the lead actor in the films changed from Shia LaBeouf to Mark Wahlberg on the casting sheet.

But the man behind the camera has pronounced the new Transformers movie to be the start of a bonafide NEW trilogy.

No we're not kidding. Here's what Bay wrote on his website:
