Erin Andrews is FINALLY done with her legal drama!
According to Andrews' lawyer, the beauty reached a settlement with Marriott hotels in her peeping tom case. While Erin received $55 million dollars in her lawsuit against her perpetrator Michael David Barrett and the hotel chain in March, it was not the end of her court room drama.
Shortly after E.A. received her legal victory, her lawyer asked the judge to apply rules of joint and several liability towards her awarded money. Essentially, the move would require the hotel owner and operator to pay the full settlement opposed to it being split with Michael.
For those who don't remember, the court ordered Barrett to pay $28 million while Marriott was told to cough up $27 million bucks.
If you're wondering why the blonde would want the hotel company to pay the full amount, it's most likely due to the fact that her perp doesn't have any money for restitution. Going after a profitable hotel chain is way more productive, especially when said hotel f*cked up so badly.
As for the settlement, Erin's lawyer confided that the details of the truce will remain private.
Speaking to E! News, the reporter's legal rep revealed:
"This litigation is over. Erin Andrews is satisfied with the settlement, the terms of which are confidential."
Well, we're just glad to hear Andrews got what she wanted! It's more than deserved!
