If there's any lesson to be learned here, it's don't screw with the Mayor Michael Latz!

On Tuesday, a tabloid reported that the mayor of Correns said Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were totally getting married this week.

But according to him, he doesn't even know who they are!

Wait, huh??

But of course it's a false alarm!

We can't believe we even let ourselves consider the possibility that this was true!

Despite MULTIPLE recent reports that suggested that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were going to get married in the coming months in the south of France, the mayor of Correns, Michaël Latz, has shot them down as just rumors!

He explains:

"There are no plans for them to marry that I know of – and I would know. Every year, the rumor resurfaces. More noise from the American press to sell a few more pounds of paper."

And if it happens, he would know!

By French law, religious ceremonies can only take place after a civil wedding, and he would be required to officiate such a ceremony!

Well, we guess that's the end of THAT speculation!

As much as we'd like to see these two tie the knot, we're not going to hold our breath. We're just as happy to see them with all of their children, enjoying their family unit!
