She's been married to Jim Bob Duggar for 27 years so we guess she knows a thing or two about having a submissive happy marriage.

The reality star recently took to the stage at a conference, which aired on the season premiere of 19 Kids and Counting, to speak to other Christian women about how she makes her marriage work.

Here are some of the HIGHlights:

- A Husband Needs A Wife Who Accepts Him As A Leader And Believes In His God-Given Responsibilities: Husbands are commanded to govern their wives; God works through a man’s decisions — good or bad; Bad decisions reveal his needs and allow the wife to appeal and demonstrate Godly character; The more a wife trusts her husband, the more careful he will be in giving her direction; Never ask others for counsel without your husband’s approval; reassure your husband that you understand and believe that he is your God-given leader.

- A Husband Needs A Wife Who Will Continue To Develop Inward And Outward Beauty: How can you become more of the wife of your husband’s dreams?; discover and conform to your husband’s real wishes; explain your hairstyle to others on the basis of your submission to your authority; separate your 'rights' from your responsibilities.

- Ask Your Husband To Define Your Responsibilities: Ask your husband to tell you when you have a resistant spirit; dispel a backbiting tongue by silence.

We're just going to go out on a limb here and assume that Jim Bob doesn't go around asking himself what HE can do to make a happier wife.

Here's the thing - marriage "responsibilities" should be mutual. There isn't a "leader" and a "follower," it's a communal relationship that is based on love and EQUAL respect for one another.

We're glad this works for them, but, wow, way to set women back a hundred years.

Michelle Duggar is nothing compared to Kelly Bates!

Jim Bob Duggar and a his wife's TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting, made them famous for having one of America's biggest families.

As of last week, their pal's Gil and Kelly Bates also have 19 Kids, and we like them a lot. We're pretty sure they deserve a TV show all of their own, so we suggest TLC give them 19 Kids and Counting. Here's why:

- Kelly didn't cheat and have any twins (like Michelle)
- She didn't have any C-sections (also like Michelle) and had all natural births (OUCH!)
- They're weren't super annoying trendy by giving all their kids names that star with a "J"
- Gil is a tree surgeon, and we want to know wtf that is! Hah!

Kelly, who just gave birth to son Jeb Colton Bates last week, says she's not done having kids walk out of her. She's been knocked up for most of the past 25 years, and she loves it.

As we mentioned earlier, Michelle Duggar tragically suffered a miscarriage earlier this month.

The family held a memorial for the 20th Duggar child where they showed pictures of the unborn baby while Michelle read a letter aloud that she had written to little Jubilee.

A little disturbing? Sure.

But even more so, in the audio clip (above), Michelle sounds oddly upbeat as she reads the words she had written to her child. Listen above.

Sad news!

Our thoughts are with the Duggar family. Today Michelle Duggar was at a routine physical to find out the sex of the 20th baby and she found out she had miscarried.

Jim Bob Duggar sent us this statement:

“Earlier today at a routine doctor’s appointment, Michelle and I received the sad news that we lost the baby. Michelle is resting comfortably at home with the support of the entire family. We are grateful for all the thoughts and prayers, but ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

The family that stars in the TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting announced mom, Michelle, was excepting back in August.
