Elijah Wood To Star In Animated Hobbit Tron TV Series!

animated tron series starring elijah wood coming up

Tron-Mania continues with Disney's announcement that they'll be creating an animated Tron series for channel Disney XD in 2012!

Tron: Uprising will debut in the summer of 2012, and will feature an inneresting cast of voices, including Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Pee Wee Herman Paul Reubens, Bruce Boxleitner, Lance Henriksen, and Emmanuelle Chriqui.

Elijah Wood will play Beck, the main character "who leads a revolution inside the Grid's computer world."

Looks like Disney's got some seriously ambitious plans for the Tron franchise!

We'll be very curious to see how Tron-mania holds up when the film, Tron: Legacy, is released next month.

Are U excited to see Elijah Wood enter the Tron world? Or would U prefer to see him kicking it in Middle Earth?

Hobbit Update…And Then Second Breakfast Hobbit Update!

hobbit_movie_to_be_in_3d_and_ian_mckellan_awaiting_papers_to_sign_to_attach_himself_to_project

We've got all types of Hobbit updates for you today!

Get comfortable with your breakfast, or second breakfast, or your elevenses, and get ready for Hobbit news mania!

For those of you who want to immerse yourselves in Middle Earth, much like how Avatar immersed us in Pandora, you'll be pleased to know that The Hobbit will officially be released in 3D!

If only they could somehow incorporate three dimensions of Orlando Bloom into the movie…we'd start waiting on line in front of the theater now…even though the project is still awaiting the official greenlight.

In other Hobbit-related news, Ian McKellan is ready to sign on as Gandalf. As soon as he's given the papers from Peter Jackson, he's totally on board.

McKellan believes that The Hobbit will get the greenlight soon.

Here's what he had to say about it:

“It’s still a matter of MGM and Warner Bros. sorting things out, but I’m told they’re close.”

We're def excited for Ian McKellan to get attached to the movie AND we're thinking this one could work well in 3D, assuming they do it right and they don't half-ass it like Clash Of The Titans.

What do U think about all this Hobbit-related news?
