What a wonderful idea!

New York City's Midtown Comics wanted to celebrate the same-sex marriage of Marvel's first openly gay superhero, so they did the next best thing and married two gay comic book fans!

The shop announced the wedding giveaway in honor of Astonishing X-Men #51, in which Northstar ties the knot, and then selected a couple from Columbus, Ohio.

Scott Everhart and Jason Welker weren't even engaged yet, but that changed once Scott received a request to be interviewed. He showed the love of his life the email, then got down on one knee to pop the question!

Two weeks later they flew to the Big Apple and were wed in a private ceremony last Wednesday, of which Welker said:
