Yes. No. Maybe so?
It appears as though Donald Trump is finally closing in on securing an A-lister to perform at his big inauguration. While Drumpf's camp has already tapped America's Got Talent alum Jackie Evancho to sing the national anthem, as well as enlisted the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Radio City Rockettes to perform during the presidential festivities, they may FINALLY snag the big star they were so desperate for!

The businessman has asked The Beach Boys to perform at the inauguration and… they haven't said no! Although, the group (fronted by Mike Love, without his cousin/cofounder Brian Wilson) hasn't said yes either.
A rep for the beloved rock band told People:

Holy shiz!
This is seriously going to be OUT OF CONTROL!
For the first time in over 20 years, the surviving members of The Beach Boys - Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and early member David Marks - will perform together at the Grammy Awards this Sunday, rocking on stage with Foster the People and Maroon 5!
The PERFECT prelude to a reunion tour and new album!
Could we GET any more excited for this year's ceremony?!
AHHH! Can't wait!

Honestly, it was kind of ridiculous to think that they would. The guys know this business well enough to know what's up.
Earlier today, rumors were flying that The Beach Boys were suing Katy Perry over her widely successful song California Gurls.
Obviously, you can see why there was some hullaballoo, but Mike Love of the Boys released a statement to clear up the whole mess. Mike explains:
"The Beach Boys are definitely not suing Katy Perry. In fact, we are flattered that her fantastically successful song is bringing to mind to millions of people our 1965 recording of the Beach Boys' 'California Girls.' We think her song is great and wish her all the success in the world."
See that? The man said flattered! No harm, no foul!!
Someone should do a mashup of their two songs in celebration of them NOT hating each other!!!!

Katy Perry may be in trouble due to eight words: "I wish they all could be California girls."
The Beach Boys’ label, Rondor Music, is threatening legal action against Perry’s label, Capitol Records, unless Beach Boys Brian Wilson and Mike Love receive writing credit and royalties from Perry’s hit song California Gurls.
The boys themselves seem to be playing the good guys. Here’s what Brian Wilson’s rep had to say on the matter:
"Rondor owns the track and called Brian and Mike, saying they were going to complain. Brian likes Katy's record and doesn't know where the situation stands."
Do U think The Beach Boys Rondor Music should get what they’re asking for?
