Both Jerry Sandusky and his attorney, Joe Amendola, are speaking out against the allegations with their side of the story.
Last night the accused pedophile spoke with NBC's Bob Costas over the phone, while his lawyer sat down with Ann Curry on TODAY this morning to expand their defense.
Beyond the possibility of the victims and witnesses lying (although neither Jerry or Joe can offer up a motive for defaming his character), their main defense seems to be the possibility of testimony from the boy Mike McQueary allegedly saw the former Penn State coach raping.
Joe explains that they may have tracked down this victim, now a young man in his 20s, and "he's telling a very different story" than McQueary's account, saying:
"That's the number one allegation we're looking into right now. We are looking for the young man involved, who's now in his 20s. We believe we found him and if we have found him, he's telling a very different story than Mike McQueary and that's big news…He's saying it never happened."
When further questioned to clarify if this young man is indeed the correct victim, Joe carefully elaborated:
"I'm trying to be responsible just like you folks. I'm trying to get the facts. I'm trying to make sure that this young man is, in fact, the young man who Mr. McQueary said he saw in the shower with Jerry."
With so many different victims coming forth with new allegations every day and the number of witnesses who saw Jerry abusing children on so many different occasions, we find it hard to believe that this case is even defendable!
However, if any of what Jerry's defense attorney says is true than this is shaping up to be the trial of the decade, if not the millennium!
