We love the Biebs's, but we're not quite sure how we feel about his just-released new single, Boyfriend, the first off his upcoming album!
The song is definitely not playing it safe. It's a risky move, one that could backfire or one that could prove quite sensation! We don't know yet.
To its credit: Boyfriend is a much more mature sound for Justin. AND it's unlike anything else on Top 40 radio right now.
Working against it: it's unlike anything else on Top 40 radio right now and we are not feeling the rapping/spoken word bits! It's not an OBVIOUS smash, like the Bieber collab with Far East Movement and RedOne. It also feels like it's trying TOO HARD to be Timberlake.
