Robin Wright May Star In Netflix's FIRST Original Series House Of Cards

Robin Wright

A few months ago we talked about Netflix's first original series directed by David Fincher and starring Kevin Spacey, which the company acquired by outbidding television networks like HBO and AMC with a $100 million commitment.

House of Cards, the 26-episode political thriller based off of a British miniseries of the same name, may have found its leading lady too!

Robin Wright is in talks to star alongside Spacey in the series slated to begin filming in the Spring of 2012.

This is definitely huge and we can see this changing the entertainment landscape forever if the show is successful.

Based off of David Fincher's track record, it's pretty hard to believe it WON'T be successful.

Plus, Netflix has over 20 million subscribers, many of which choose the online based entertainment over cable. We're sure 20 million people wouldn't mind some original programming!

Since it only costs $8 bucks a month for the most basic service, we can see a lot of people subscribing for the original programming on top of their cable bill too!

Do U think this may be the beginning of a new era for television shows?

The Event May Go To SyFy As Miniseries

The Event Could Move To SyFy

For all those Event fans out there that are just dying to know what is going on might not be out of luck, as it's being reported that the show might continue past its life on network television — and head to cable on SyFy to conclude as a miniseries!

According to the source:

"Helping things is the fact that Syfy and The Event producer, Universal Media Studios, are NBCUniversal corporate siblings. But migrating a broadcast show to cable is never easy, and I hear discussions are underway to see if it would be financially feasible for The Event to continue on Syfy. If that happens and if the mini does well, it could potentially launch another season of the alien drama."

This is definitely an interesting way to handle a canceled show that has left a lot of questions. We mean, the main deal with the show is based on a huge question, "What is the event?" So it's only fair that they look elsewhere to satisfy those who invested the time.

The least they could do is let us know what they had planned by just flat-out telling us, LOLz!

What would you think if The Event landed at SyFy?
