Sit Jeter, sit!

Derek Jeter is captain of the Yankees has five World Series rings, a super hot gf (Minka Kelly), and more pets named after him than anyone else in baseball.

New York City, you see, is home to 33 dogs actively registered under the name Jeter. Across the Hudson, at the Valley Animal Hospital in Clifton, N.J., there are seven clients who go by the name Jeter, and on a single mail route.

In Kalamazoo, Mich., where Jeter grew up, there are four dogs named for the hometown hero. (yes, cats too!)

There's even a dog hero named after the shortstop in Dayton, Ohio. Jeter, a Great Pyrenees, died in a fire in June 2009 after alerting his owner about a fire in the basement of their home.

So sweet!

Minka Kelly LOVES showing off her puppy Chewy.

We've seen the pair together in NYC, LA, Miami, and now Minka is proving her pooch is cute from her own back yard!

The Charlie's Angels star shared a photo on her WhoSay page of her water baby doing some laps in the pool with a ball over the weekend.

"Hot fun in the summertime!"

she wrote of the doggie-paddling pooch.

Looks like Chewy was retrieving like any good dog should. Wonder if Kelly's shortstop beau Derek Jeter threw a few curve balls!

Angel Sighting!

Minka Kelly was spotted walking her dog and chatting with a friend in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood Thursday.

The actress seemed to be in high spirits, and has every reason to be.

She's in New York city with her Yankee star player bf, Derek Jeter , her pilot Charlie's Angels, was picked up by ABC, and she's with her best and most adorbz friend/pet Chewie!

Minka, you run this world!

Stepping out to take her furry companion, Chewie, for a walk, Minka Kelly was spotted with her pooch in NYC on Thursday.

The duo was seen checking into the hotel before making taking a trip around the block.

We're so psyched to see the Friday Night Lights actress in the upcoming ABC re-boot for Charlie's Angels this fall!
