This Selfie-Filled Baseball Jersey Is A Real Thing And It Must Be Stopped Immediately!

selfie baseball jersey ugly

And we thought the LA KISS arena football jerseys were bad!!

This upcoming season, the Kalamazoo Growlers will be dedicating an entire day to the selfie sensation in July with a promotion they're calling Salute To Selfie Night, and they've found an interesting way to get their fans involved!

The idea is simple. Growlers enthusiasts are being asked to submit their best selfies to the team by either Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram by April 1st, and the pics that show the most "Growlers spirit" will be featured on the players' jerseys!

That's right! You can have your lovely mug featured on an actual jersey! The only problem is they're HIDEOUS!

In theory, this is a pretty cool way to get fans involved in the game and build a connection with the players. However, after seeing a rendering of these bad boys, we're hoping they reconsider!

Derek Jeter, who has been on the Yankee's disabled list since June 14th with a strained right calf, is ready to come back to the big leagues.

After stepping up the intensity of his workout Wednesday at the team's minor-league complex in Florida, training officials have decided he's ready to being playing again.

“I feel good now,” Jeter said. “I feel a lot better. I’m ready to get out of here.”

The shortstop will travel to Trenton to play in minor league games Saturday and Sunday, then meet up with his major league cohorts in Cleveland on Monday.

Hopefully by next week he'll be right back into the swing of things!
