Well, it turns out she didn't mean it that way at all!

The Fast & Furious actress took to her Facebook to post a video where she spoke her mind and her comments couldn't be taken out of context.

Harry Belafonte BASHES Beyoncé's 'Social Responsibility' And She Responds!

Harry Belafonte is a very well-respected artist and activist, but when it comes to other famous minorities, he's not so quick to express any mutual admiration.

The 84-year-old was recently asked about his thoughts on "the image of members of minorities in Hollywood today" and he responded that he is "not at all" happy about it.

So who is giving minorities a bad rep these days? Beyoncé and Jay-Z!

The King of Calypso bashed the power couple for turning "their back on social responsibility," but praised non-minority Bruce Springsteen in process, as he explained:

Minority Babies Are Now The Majority In The U.S.!

Times are a-changin’!!!

For the first time in the history of the US, census figures are revealing that MOST of babies being born in this country are non-whites, although minorities make up just about 37 percent of the U.S. population!!!

Estimates show that 50.4 percent of babies younger than a year-old are Hispanic, Black, Asian American or belonging to other minority groups.

That’s almost a full percentage point higher than the 49.5% of minorities up from the last count in April 2010 and researchers predict whites will be the absolute MINORITY in the U.S. by 2042!!

The figures have a lot to do with the largest immigration wave that started 40 years ago, and the aging of whites, who are by far the oldest peeps with a median age of 42, while the average age for Hispanics is under 28, and Blacks and Asians average out in their early 30s giving them MANY more years of baybay making!!

Although these are the current figures, researchers aren’t clear if the baby boom will continue to rise, as immigration to the U.S. is actually DECLINING.

Guess we'll have to wait and see till the next census!

Houston Schools Use New Program To Boost Diversity In AP Classes

Houston schools have implemented a new program called AVID, which targets minorities and other students who will be the first in their families to attend college.

Students sit in circles and engage in debates over many current issues, including online piracy.

They receive intensive tutorials, academic support and counseling and are placed with the same specially trained teacher for all four years of high school. This ensures that they receive the coaching and attention that they deserve to have.

When many of the students started in the program, many were afraid to speak in public and struggled with writing complete sentences.

Now, all of the students are enrolled in AP classes (Advanced Placement) and are in the school's top 10% and the National Honor Society.

Wow. That's incredible.

Teacher Ayasha Greene says:

"I cry at home some days when I look at their growth over four years. Before, they didn't believe they could succeed in AP."

Meanwhile, Principal Pat Crittendon says:

"We have got to tap into the ability of all students. We're having these conversations with students and letting them know that it is OK to be one of the smart kids on campus.

Early identification is key. When you look at nonminority students, their parents are on the front line to get their kids into AP. With Latinos and African-Americans, it's incumbent on the school to identify students and say 'you have this ability.'"

What a fantastic program. It seems like AVID should definitely be implemented into other schools around the country. It gives a confidence boost to kids who otherwise are afraid to try something new.

Loves it!
