It's like she is living the Just My Luck sequel … the one none of us remember asking for!
Despite the fact that Lindsay Lohan chose to continue
being a paid escort pAArtying it up in London instead of showing up to her scheduled court date stemming from the misdemeanor assault charges she incurred after punching a psychic in a New York nightclub, the prosecution has decided to delay the proceedings…as the investigation against the troubled starlet is apparently STILL incomplete!
In an announcement made today, prosecutors explained:
Lindsay Lohan has been ringing in the New Year by pAArtying all over London for the past week, and now, we have the sneaking suspicion that doing so has pretty much used up all of the 'good things' for which she had hoped to come in 2013!
Because callous, cold grasp of REALITY is about to come a knockin' for our troubled starlet…TODAY!
That's right, today is the day that Our Lady of Perpetual Chaos is expected back in an NYC courtroom to face up to the misdemeanor assault charges she incurred when she allegedly punched psychic Tiffany Mitchell at Avenue Lounge back in late November, and depending on how the wind is blowing today, prosecution could very well plan to file!
Of course, as we all know her frustratingly typical song and dance after consecutive six years of it, Lindsay is asserting - through her New York lawyer, Mark Heller - that she is OBVIOUSLY the victim here:

His charges weren't dismissed like his lawyer had hoped, but Calvin Klein's ex Nick Gruber did get a fairly lenient sentence.
Nick was arrested back in April, after his pAArtying got a little out of control, and was charged with felony cocaine possession and two misdemeanors of resisting arrest and assault with intent to cause physical harm.
Appearing in court on Thursday, the 22-year-old former model and gay porn star pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug charges and was sentenced to 20 days of community service - 10 days to be completed in New York and 10 days to be completed in California.

The Manhattan prosecutors' office offered her a plea deal that included two days community service and two days of anger management in return to pleading guilty to disorderly conduct, but no dice.
Jessica and her attorney believe they can win the case by having 3 friends testify and a security video that supports her side of the story.
Mark Jay Heller said his client's accuser Vanessa Kia is a "nasty angry person", adding:
"This woman threw herself at [White's] group, and started pushing and fighting with them. It's really horrifying that taxpayer money is really being wasted on this. The video shows she was running after my client from behind. She recognized she was Jessica White, and was shouting, 'You're a celebrity. I'm going to take you down.'"
Sounds like pretty damning evidence.

As we mentioned on Tuesday, model Jessica White was arrested over the weekend after repeatedly punching 28 year old Vanessa Kian on a street corner in New York.
But according to her lawyer Mark Jay Heller, she was provoked after Klan "hit" her shoulder.
Heller wouldn't go into detail on how Jessica was "hit", but it still doesn't excuse her from going all Naomi Campbell on the girl.

Looks like Jessica White has more in common with Naomi Campbell than we thought!
The younger version of Naomi was arrested on Saturday morning after repeatedly hitting a 28 year old woman in the face.
According to the court complaint, White "pulled the victim's hair and struck [the victim] numerous times in the face with her hand, causing abrasions, swelling and substantial pain."
Witnesses say the catfight was all over a taxi, because we all know those are hard to come by in New York City, right?
Jessica has yet to comment on her misdemeanor assault charge, but her lawyer Jeffrey Mennen says: "The police report doesn't sound like Jessica, and she must have been provoked."
Funny because industry insiders say the model is a "firecracker" and "difficult to work with".
Oh and there's also the fact that she smashed a girls care with a baseball bat when she was a teenager.
She must have been "provoked" then, too.
