Miss USA 2016 Deshauna Barber Talks Breaking Pageant & Army Stereotypes, Being Bullied, & More On GMA! Watch!
She ain't no ordinary beauty queen!
On Sunday, Miss District of Columbia Deshauna Barber was crowned the winner of the 2016 Miss USA pageant after charming the judges with her beauty, intelligence, and strength.
And when the 26-year-old Army Reserve officer stopped by Tuesday's Good Morning America, she reminded everyone how truly unique she was from the rest of the competition!
Speaking to Robin Roberts, Barber — who joined the Army at age 17 — explained how she set out to break stereotypes for pageant contestants being "air headed," while disproving the belief that women in the military were "unattractive" and "very masculine."
The beauty queen also admitted she was a "late bloomer," and spoke out on being bullied in high school for her thin frame.
Now fully bloomed, it's clear the sky's the limit for this very accomplished Miss USA!
