Of COURSE Anna Wintour would be at The Great Gatsby premiere!
And, of course, she would be decked out in luxe designer finery!
The editor-in-chief of Vogue busted out an opulent Chanel Couture short-sleeved, collared dress for the star-studded event in NYC on Wednesday.
Other than the fact that she completely snubbed Miuccia Prada, the film's costume designer AND one of Anna's faves, there was nothing surprising about her look.
From her helmet-y bob and beaded necklace down to the open-toe Manolo Blahniks she loves so much, the entire ensem screamed La Wintour.
We're sure she still struck fear into the hearts of everyone around though!
LOLz!

Sticking to what works never hurt anyone!
Florence Welch eschewed flapper style for a more dapper masculine look at the Catherine Martin and Miuccia Prada The Great Gatsby Dresses Exhibit in NYC on Tuesday night.
The powerhouse singer rocked a simple ensem of trousers and pin-striped button-down, both by Prada, but her accessories were what really made the outfit!
Flo had on a floppy black hat (VERY Saint Laurent!), textured leather boots, Prada clutch, and LOADS of art deco-inspired rings on her fingers.
A PERFECT way to spice up a low-key look!

Katy Perry has really been on an amazing fashion high lately.
Or maybe we're the ones on a giddy high!
We're absolutely enamored with the floral print wine-colored dress she wore to the opening of Miuccia Prada and costume designer Catherine Matin's Great Gatsby Dress Exhibit in New York City on Tuesday.
Naturally, she supported the designer by choosing this Prada number from the S/S 2013 collection, as well as a black clutch accented with a white flower and bow platforms from the label.
Curly raven locks and that smile with love oh so much completed Katy's look.
Absolutely purrrfect!

Carey Mulligan's in full-on Gatsby promotion mode and she's been doing well so far style-wise.
But at the Catherine Martin and Miuccia Prada The Great Gatsby Dresses Exhibit cocktail party in NYC on Tuesday night, her choice of outfit was less than impressive.
The actress wore an embroidered black dress from Prada's A/W 2008 collection paired with peep-toe Brian Atwood heels.
She also kept her makeup VERY minimal, almost looking ghostly pale.
It all just fell flat.
Come on, Carey, you're in what is possibly the most glamorous movie of the year!
Where's the pizzazz?! Bring us the razzle-dazzle!

We can only imagine how GORGEOUS these will look in real life!
Miuccia Prada revealed some of the costume sketches she's done for Baz Luhrmann's upcoming The Great Gatsby and not surprisingly they're great!
The designer worked closely with costume designer Catherine Martin to come up with more than 40 looks for the flick. Each of the pieces are inspired by previous Prada and Miu Miu collections.
The four looks revealed this week include a beautiful mint green bustier gown, a striped sheath dress with plastic embroidery, an orange sequined number with fur collar, and a lace Swarovski-encrusted flapper dress.
LOVE!
We're even more excited for the movie now than ever!
Check out all the sketches in the gallery (below)!

"To want to be a fashion designer was really the worst thing that could happen to me. I thought it was dumb and conservative […] But my education at home pulled the other way, giving me a taste for beautiful things, an instinct for fashion. I adored that."

This was certainly a show that will be remembered for a long time!
Prada’s S/S 2013 presentation at Milan Fashion Week on Thursday was a gorgeous mix of strong designs and feminine accents, and all were obviously Japanese-inspired.
Miuccia Prada opened with dark designs, featuring flower print panels with brighter silken ensembles appearing at the end of the show. Some even featured Andy Warhol imagery.
How fab!
The one thing that had everybody talking at the end of the show were the shoes.
Check out the clip (above) and you'll see why!
