Michelle Obama played hostess at the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt National Design Awards on Tuesday.

The event held in the East Room of the White House honored top designers, including J. Mendel's Gilles Mendel for exceptional work in fashion.

What amazing First Lady paying tribute to another.

It was announced this morning that First Lady Michelle Obama will travel to California tomorrow to attend the funeral of former First Lady Betty Ford.

The White House confirmed that MObama will be joined at the service by fellow former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, along with her husband, former President Bill Clinton. The service will be held in Palm Desert, but she will bel aid to rest in Michigan alongside President Ford, who is buried at his namesake museum in Grand Rapids.

That's nice. We're glad they'll be together.

Michelle Obama paid a visit with Nelson Mandela's wife Graca Machel to the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg, South Africa, earlier today.

And for the special occasion, MObama wore a gorgeous coral Narciso Rodriguez silk shantung jacket and skirt.

We’re also loving her floral top.

Overall, a win for Mrs. Obama for looking both professional and stylish.

Following a fashionable visit to the UK, Michelle Obama returned to her First Lady duties back in the States last week.

On Friday, MObama made an appearance at the Quantico Middle School & High School graduation looking super cute in a navy blue dress adorned with rosettes on the shoulder straps.

Queen Elizabeth II and Michelle Obama were looking fancy in their frocks out the Winfield House in London the other night.

For the royal occasion, Her Majesty chose a sequin cream-colored gown while Mrs. O went with a black Ralph Lauren gown and blingerific necklace.
