gross mold watch out

We totally get that wasting food in this world is a HUGE problem, and we like the idea of trying to use everything you can before it goes bad — but not if it puts your life in danger!

Cutting off the mold from some cheeses, or using the slices of bread from the opposite end of all the mold might not be the best idea… especially if you don't know what you're looking for! It could end with you having permanent nerve damage or even KILL YOU!

Here's how you avoid all the awful things:

Ryan Reynolds Gets The Best Birthday Present Ever: His Wax Clone!

Sometimes art imitates life in the seksiest of ways! SRSLY there's so much anatomical perfection going on in this picture!

If Ryan Reynolds needed some extra wax for his birthday candles, he just received a pretty unlimited supply! The Green Lantern received his very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood today on his 37th birthday!

After hearing about his topless airplane ride, we sort of wish Madame T would have donned wax Ryan in his birthday suit for the occasion, but we'll leave that up to our imaginations!

Meanwhile, Blake Lively was probably like, "can we bring the wax guy home with us? I have some ideas."

Happy birthday, Ryan! We'll be wishing upon a star each night to bring your figurine to life!

We've got some dirt on the Blue Fairy, so we might just call in that favor.

Fecal Matter & Mold Found On Beauty Counter Testers!!!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooBeauty BuzzAllure

Oh. Em. Gee.

This is the grossest thing we’ve seen in a long time.

When you go to the makeup counter, you know the testers might not be the cleanest, but after seeing this you may never go again!

Good Morning America went undercover at high and low end beauty stores and secretly swabbed the lipsticks, eyeshadows and foundations.

The samples were then shipped off to a lab and the results are even vomit-inducing.

Thankfully, Linda Wells, editor at Allure, shows how to safely test makeup.

Check out the video (above) for all the icky deets.

Rachael Ray Sues Home Inspectors For Failing To Reveal Dangerous Mold Problem!

wenn5506109jb.jpg

Rightfully so! We'd be livid, too!

Rachael Ray and her husband, John Cusimano, have filed a lawsuit against home inspection companies for failing to notify them that the house that they bought in Long Island, NY has a severe mold problem that may have been affecting their health!

Ray has had a history of serious respiratory problems, and the inspectors failed to spot the mold and water damage in the $2.9 million villa back in 2007, when they brought the property!

According to a source:

"Rachael and John were considering selling the property when the mold problem became apparent. It is such a beautiful home, but this could make it impossible for them to sell the house until the problem is solved."

Awful!

You never expect the people you're trusting to ensure your home is safe to fail completely are recognizing a serious issue!

Hopefully this matter can be resolved and can find a safer place to live, given her health problems!

Thoughts??

Brittany Murphy's Mother Says Toxic Mold Claims Are False!

Reports began surfacing that toxic mold in the house may have contributed to the deaths of Brittany Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack, but Brittany's mother Sharon says that information is incorrect!

She explains:

"I have never been personally asked by the coroner or anyone from the Health Department to come and inspect my home for mold. In the last eight months, I have been through the most unimaginable events, which no one could ever fathom. I have and will continue to be very cooperative and fully comply with any such request. It's absurd that this kind of misinformation is being reported by the media."

The official cause of their deaths in pneumonia and anemia.

Plus the family had their home inspected just last year! The family spokesman says:

"Due to the inferior products used by the builder and sub contractors, the Murphy home had a persistent leak problem. Simon Monjack [hired] an attorney and filed a lawsuit against [them].

"In October 2009, to insure the home was safe to occupy, the attorney hired a well-respected company to conduct a full inspection of the home which would include … checking for any possible mold."

Still sounds fishy to us!
