We hope 30 Rock star Judah Friedlander is telling the truth!
The actor and comedian played Molly Shannon's cheating husband in Wet Hot American Summer and is apparently coming back for the prequel that we've been crossing our fingers for since the possibility was suggested.
During a recent Q&A interview, Friedlander said:

The Superstar just landed her next gig in the upcoming CBS pilot, Partners!
The show comes from Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan is about BFF4Fs Charlie (played by David Krumholtz), who is straight, and Louis (Michael Urie), who is gay.
Molly will join co-stars Sophia Bush, who plays Charlie’s fiancé, and Brandon Routh as Louis seksi BF, for the first episode. She's not right now, but there's a chance she'll be a series regular.
We don't want to get our hopes up… BUT, this show has the potential the be amazballz!

The actress will tag team for the third time with Mike White on his show, Enlightened. The HBO comedy has gotten some buzz lately, including Laura Dern's Golden Globe win so adding Molly adds some solid star power.

The show paid a silent tribute to Whitney by displaying a picture of her with SNL alum Molly Shannon from a 1996 Mary Katherine Gallagher sketch.
Interestingly enough, Maya Rudolph, who did a Whitney impression on the show, will be hosting next week. We bet they will throw in another tribute to her next week - maybe this time with some laughs instead of tears.
