But why she thought she needed it at the Human Rights Campaign National Gala , we just don't know!

Mo'Nique was one of the honored guest at the gala in Washington D.C. this weekend, though when she arrived, people thought she was the reigning leader of the free world! That's because she rolled up to the event with "four security guards and a full detail."

What?! How come?! What'd you think the gays were going to do to you, BB?! They loves you!

What's this all about, sweetie?

Such an accomplishment!

Pink will be honored for her work supporting GLBT equality at the Human Rights Campaign's 14th annual National Dinner in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

The dinner is a fundraiser for the work of the nation's largest GLBT civil rights organization and more than 3,000 are expected to attend.

Pink will be presented with the Ally for Equality Award by Bette Midler.

The National Arts & Culture Award will go to the hit ABC series Modern Family and Precious director Lee Daniels will accept the Visibility Award presented by Mo’Nique.

HRC President Joe Solmonese said:

“This has been a remarkable year in the fight for LGBT equality, but there is much work left to be done. The National Dinner will highlight our accomplishments and inspire us to keep up the fight until we have achieved full equality under the law.”

Yes! Equality for all!!!

Mo'Nique Stands Up For Lindsay!

monwenn2820019.jpg

Oscar winner Mo'Nique wants us all to stop picking on poor Lindsay Lohan. She thinks we should all just "mind our business" and let the Lohan family sort this out themselves.

Yeah, not happening, considering that if we left the Lohan family purely to their own devices without any scrutiny, who knows what kind of plagues they will rain down upon us! The thought just gives us shivers!

Regardless, Mo'Nique told sources that she felt it was time for everyone to leave LiLo alone and let her sort through her mess of a life. She says:

"Stop judging her. That baby simply needs some help and if it was your baby, would you want to turn on the TV every night and hear people's horrible opinions and they don't know what’s really happening? So the advice is for us. Stop judging that baby. Let's stop judging that family because we don’t know what's really going on. Mind your business and let them mind theirs and maybe everybody will come out okay."

Um, if we know EXACTLY what is going on, can we still judge? Can that be a rule?

Also, sorry, but LiLo is far from a baby. Girl is 24 years old. She can vote. She can buy alcohol. She rent a car! Maybe if more people stopped treating her like a baby she wouldn't be in this mess!

Oprah Wants In On Fantasia Aftermath

Fantasia stole Paula Cook’s husband, and now Cook may steal the spotlight.

Paula Cook, the wife of Antwaun Cook, who has been seeing Fantasia extramaritally, is being approached for interviews on talk shows by Mo’Nique and….Oprah!

Here’s what a source had to say about it:

“Paula has been approached by Oprah’s people to go on her chat show. She still hasn’t decided what she will do though, and she was also approached by Mo’Nique too.”

More from the source on Paula’s feelings about Fantasia:

“Despite anything that Fantasia may say about Antwaun being separated from his wife when she started dating him, Paula firmly believes that she knowingly got involved with a married man.”

If that’s how she feels about it, she’d certainly get the opportunity to express that to a large audience if she decides to go on Oprah. Might be therapeutic for her…although we can only imagine how Fantasia would react to it.

Would U like to see Paula Cook go on Oprah?

Mo’Nique "Not Happy" Oprah Interviewed Her Brother

mowenn5440289__opt1.jpg

We're sure it was a hard thing to listen to and watch.

Mo’Nique's brother, Gerald Imes was on The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this week, attempting to apologize and provide insight on the many years he sexually molested his younger sister.

Though originally she gave Oprah her blessing, sources say that Mo'Nique is "not happy" with the direction the interview took. Supposedly, Mo'Nique feels that her brother lied about many of details about the abuse and was not "sympathetic enough towards her."

In particular, Mo'Nique was upset to hear Gerald claim that he molested his sister while she was asleep. According to sources close to her, she has always said that she was “wide awake and scared of him."

Now, instead of bridging the gap between the family, Mo'Nique is said to want nothing to do with any of them again and refuses to speak to them. She also allegedly declining to appear on Oprah's show again because of how the interview was handled.

Tsk, tsk. Don't take it too personally, O. You might not have asked the right questions, but he's the one who really should feel the shame!

Mo'Nique's Brother Admits Abuse On Oprah!

mowenn5440289.jpg

So sad. Hopefully, this will give her a bit of closure.

After over 30 years of denial, Mo'Nique's brother has sat down in a one-on-one interview with Oprah Winfrey to admit that he sexually abused his sister and to apologize for it.

Gerald Imes first claims to Oprah that he was himself abused, which is what sent him into a downward spiral of drugs, alcohol and ultimately, abusing his younger sister. At the age of eleven, Gerald was already deep into cocaine and heroin and by the time he was 13, he began molesting Mo'Nique. She was only seven.

The abuse lasted four years, then Mo'Nique finally had the courage to tell her parents the truth. They were also in the audience of Oprah as their son shared his story and confessed that though they threw Gerald out initially, they welcomed him back into their home after only a month. Gerald was then later sentenced to 12 years in prison for molesting someone else.

Despite everything, Gerald only had one thing that he wanted to share - an apology to his sister. He said:

"I'm here today to acknowledge that I've been in denial for over 30 years. I just want to say I'm sorry."

Sometimes sorry just isn't enough.

Poor Mo'Nique. Girl should be proud to have stayed so strong for so many years. We're sure proud of you!
