Muslim Celebs Who Are Not Here For Trump's Immigrant Ban!

no title

Hear, hear, Mahershala Ali!

Last week, the actor picked up two SAG Awards — one for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Moonlight, another as a part of the ensemble cast of Hidden Figures.

In his solo speech, the 42-year-old subtly blasted Donald Trump's immigrant ban, speaking out against the "persecution" of people for being different and telling the story of coming out as Muslim to his mother.

While Ali may be one of the only Muslim celebs who actually spoke out on the xenophobic executive order, he is far from the only celeb who practices the religion.

Zayn Malik, Shaquille O'Neal, and Janet Jackson are just a few stars who were born into or converted to Islam — find out more (below)!

Mahershala Ali Moves The Room With Some Truth As He Takes Home Best Supporting Actor At The 2017 SAG Awards!

SAG Awards 2017 - Male Actor Supporting Role by Videosuploaded123

Mahershala Ali may have won the Best Supporting Actor SAG Award for Moonlight, but he could also have earned it for his 2016 performances in Hidden Figures. Or Kicks. Or for this speech.

The talented rising star beat out Jeff Bridges for Hell or High Water, Hugh Grant for Florence Foster Jenkins, Lucas Hedges for Manchester By The Sea, and Dev Patel for Lion.

And he used his time to talk about persecution, and to tell the story of coming out as a Muslim to his minister mother.

His words were soft but VERY powerful. And he used them to move the room, and we hope everyone watching.

Oscars less white!!!

The Oscar nominations came out early Tuesday, and we're still getting over all the shocks and snubs from this year's batch of nominees.

Among the most pleasant of surprises came from Best Supporting Actress category — as Viola Davis, Naomie Harris, and Octavia Spencer made history with their nominations!

Davis, Harris, and Spencer were all big contenders for their work in Fences, Moonlight, and Hidden Figures, respectively; but their official nominations are so special because it marks the first time three black women have been nominated in an acting category!

C'mon, Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, you know you want to…

Deadpool was one of the biggest surprise hits of 2016. Not only was it a box office hit, making over $750 million on a $60 million budget, but Ryan Reynolds' crude superhero also charmed the critics!

The action comedy was so revered, it was nominated for 2 Golden Globes — including Best Picture, Comedy or Musical (which it lost to La La Land) — and was recently nominated for awards from the Writers AND Producers Guilds!

And with the Oscar nominations coming out later this month, Reynolds shared a For Your Consideration video for Deadpool on Twitter — which, of course, continues in the spirit of mocking all of the film's acclaim!

Hilariously narrated by its leading hero, the clip tries to sway Oscar voters by noting the film's magical unicorns, assless chaps, broken fourth wall, chimichangas, and just about everything else the Academy loves.

Will Deadpool be a dark horse at the Oscars? Should La La Land and Moonlight be worried!? Watch the clip (below) to see if YOUR vote is swayed!

Brad Pitt Makes His First Public Appearance Since Angelina Jolie's Divorce Filing!

Brad Pitt steps out!

In his first public sighting since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in September, Brad Pitt at least appears to be in good spirits!

The A-lister stepped out to attend Moonlight's private screening in Los Angeles on Tuesday night alongside good friend Julia Roberts.

While it may seem like a surprising move, Brad's production company Plan B is actually credited as one of the executive producers.

The poppa of six looked to be happy as he put on a big smile for the cameras, which is especially notable as it was only revealed on Monday the actor's estranged wife would continue to have all six kids in her custody.

At least for now.

Brad is expected to make another public appearance on Wednesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film, Allied.
