On Thursday, Carnegie Hall announced that Skylar Astin will be returning to his musical theatre roots as he's slated to star as Tony in West Side Story at the Knockdown Center in Queens, NY.
The show is schedule to run next year on March 4-6. AH-Mazing!
The 28-year-old may be best known for as the adorable Treblemaker in the Pitch Perfect franchise, but initially he made his Broadway debut back in 2006 as a part of the original cast of Spring Awakening — alongside fellow A-lister Lea Michele!
And it seems the Ground Floor actor is just as excited as we are for his upcoming role as he took to Twitter and shared:

The New York native will be joined in the classic show by the Great White Way veteran, Bianca Marroquín as Anita and 18-year-old newcomer, Morgan Hernandez as Skylar's romantic lead Maria. Talk about being a Broadway baby!
Other roles are still to be announced. We'll certainly be looking forward to this production.
Do U have any favorites you hope to fill out the rest of the cast list?!
