Tara Harper Is A Vegetarian And An Animal Activist

Tara Harper, from the Bravo show Most Eligible: Dallas, is not only a vegetarian, but also a serious animal activist.
She actually founded a large animal rescue organization in Dallas several years ago, called Paws in the City.
She said:
"I started it up with no idea about what I was doing, then a week later Katrina hit and we took in a bunch of dogs from Louisiana and Mississippi… I had people contact me from all over the country to say they didn’t know they could just go and adopt a cat or dog out of a shelter rather than buying one at a pet store."
She has even adopted eight dogs of her own!
Aside from loving the heck out of animals, she's also been a vegetarian for 20 years. Though it wasn't easy in the beginning, she said:
"I had no idea what I was doing and gained 20 pounds because I was just eating bread and pasta."
It must've been hard trying to start out in Dallas… she said:
"Vegetarian and vegan restaurants aren’t very common here, but they are beginning to pop up."
A healthy, cruelty-free eater, and animal activist. We see why she's "most eligible."
