What a lovely project for the two of them to enjoy together!

Vanessa Williams will reportedly be teaming with her mother, retired music teacher Helen Tinch Williams, to write a motivational book for other women!

The two signed a deal with Gotham Books, and the still untitled book, due out in 2012, will focus on "family, fear, success, and loss."

So sweet! We bet this is going to be a great resource for families!

Beyoncé knows the secret to living a happy life, except it’s not so much a secret as a well-known truism that too few follow through on: helping others makes you happy. Beyoncé talked about what inspires her in a recent interview:

“I watched my parents get involved in [community charities in Houston], and that taught me how important it is to 'give ’til it hurts.' I saw how happy you could make people, whether just giving someone a hug, having a conversation or spending some time, and it became a part of me."

Beyoncé donated her entire salary from the film Cadillac Records to the Phoenix House, a drug and alcohol treatment center where she did research for the movie.

“Sisterhood means everything to me. All the charities I'm involved with are special, but I find any organization that focuses on women and children really motivating. GEMS and the young ladies the nonprofit helps are very close to my heart.”

While she may seem perfect, Beyoncé has her flaws as well.

"I promise I'm working on this, but I could be less messy at home and keep the clothes in my closet and off the floor!"

Blah! If only a messy room was the biggest problem in our lives!
