We definitely love when artists get creative with their lyric videos and the latest from our Canadian songbird, Nelly Furtado, is no exception!
Nelly decided to feature her friend Spencer West's trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in her lyric vid for Spirit Indestructible.
Spencer was born with a genetic disease which prevented his leg muscles from working. Doctors eventually had his legs removed at age five to help him with his mobility.
Check out the AHmazingly powerful song AND vid above, of Spencer's climb to raise money for clean water projects in Africa!
Wow…talk about motivational! We LOVE this song and are super inspired by Spencer’s story, along with his indestructible AND remarkable spirit!

Poor Martina!
Tennis champ Martina Navratilova was forced to pull out of her bid to climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro after she was hospitalized for high altitude pulmonary oedema.
Navratilova was part of a 27-strong team, who planned on climbing the mountain to raise funds for the Laureus World Sports Academy, which uses sports to help with positive social change.
Unfortunately, four days into her journey, she fell ill and was hospitalized at Nairobi Hospital in Kenya after fluid was found in her lungs.
Navratilova is said to be saddened that she will be unable to finish the journey. She continued:
"I'm disappointed not to be able to complete this amazing journey. It was something that I have wanted to do for so long, but it was not to be. I am so pleased that we got it going and I will be watching and waiting for news from the climb when they reach the summit."
It must feel terrible to have to end her quest early, especially since it's for charity. We wish her the best and hope for a speedy recovery.

Good!!
Maybe she'll stay up there and live in the mountains forever so we won't have to think about her anymore!!
After successfully climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Jessica Biel is ready to tackle Mount Everest!!
Wow!! You're so EXTREME, Jessica!!
Yawn.
Biel says:
"I feel like I could handle that a lot better for a longer period of time, so that’s my next expedition. It was really mental. The key is to not let your brain play a trick on you — to keep motivated — to keep inspired even when you're feeling nauseous and your head hurts and you're uncomfortable thinking, 'What am I doing here? This is crazy? This is really, really hard!'"
We don't know what she's complaining about.
The route she wants to take up Everest actually only peaks at 17,000 feet - which is 2,000 less than what she accomplished on Kilimanjaro!
LAME! Go all the way to top!! Just try it!!
