anne hathaway my fair lady role line

Omg, omg, omg, omg!

Are our dreams seriously about to come true??

There were awesome, fabulous, spectacular rumors going around that Clive Davis wanted to get Anne Hathaway onto Broadway in a revival of My Fair Lady.

And while we thought this one might just end up as something we fantasize about, it looks like Anne is actually interested in taking to the stage as Eliza Doolittle!!

Okay, let's all take a breath.

This isn’t the first time Anne has been in talks for the role, and now she’s as excited as we are for new discussions starting up. She said:

Clive Davis Wants Anne Hathaway & Colin Firth To Help Him Reboot My Fair Lady On Broadway!

clive davis wants anne hathaway my fair lady broadway(1)

Sounds like somebody better start brushing up on her Cockney accent!

My Fair Lady is ready to make its return to Broadway, and Clive Davis already has his leading cast members in mind!

Just two weeks ago, we told you how Clive wants to revive and produce the musical on Broadway, for the first time in 20 years!

He hopes to have the show hit the stage in 2014 and is looking to have Anne Hathaway play the infamous role of Eliza Doolittle and Colin Firth to play Henry Higgins!

While both Hathaway and Firth have starred in musicals on the silver screen, neither of them have starred in a production on the Great White Way!!

We think both are pretty good picks — especially Anne!

It would be fun to see her channel her inner Audrey Hepburn and even seek out Julie Andrews for some Eliza-esque tips!

My Fair Lady Returns To Broadway After 20-Year Hiatus!

Eliza Doolittle is BACK on Broadway!

At least she will be, sometime next year!

Record producer and entertainment executive Clive Davis hopes to revive My Fair Lady at some point next year!!

He thinks the 57-year old hit musical will take the theatrical world by storm once more!

Clive recently said:

"I always wanted to produce a Broadway show, and I’ve never done it… I’m hopeful we will prepare and finalize everything this year to bring 'My Fair Lady' next year to Broadway with a stellar cast. I don’t want to jinx myself, but we're in discussions with two magnificent performers and a wonderful director to do that."

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Julie Andrews is a little long in the tooth to play Eliza, but we're sure Clive can find her a part in the production somewhere!

Our hearts are pitter-pattering just thinking about the ah-mazingness of it all!

Hurry up, 2014! Why are you taking so long to get here?!

Nicole Kidman's A Fair Lady At Melbourne's Derby Day

nicole-kidman-derby-day-emirates-melbourne-cup-gsi(1).jpg

Where else does one wear a hat this faboosh?!

Nicole Kidman got all dressed up for Derby Day in her native Australia on Saturday.

The actress channeled her inner Eliza Doolittle in a lace L’Wren Scott dress complete with a clutch and shoes by Angelina Jolie's rumored wedding dress designer.

Of course, the pièce de résistance of the entire outfit was Nicole's hat created by milliner Stephen Jones.

Sure it's a little over the top and costumey, but it's very apropos for a day at the races.

What do U think of her look???

Nope!!

Trojan — the condom manufacturer — stocked a few hot dog carts in NYC chock full of long phallic objects you are not supposed to swallow!

These aren't the all-beef Kosher wieners your Grandpa used to ram into his mouth on the corner of Broadway and West 45th in between acts of My Fair Lady!

Watch Every Performance From Last Night's Glee HERE!!!

Deep breath in … and out!

Last night's episode of Glee was pretty dark, dealing with subject matter ranging from broken dreams to domestic violence. There was literally not a dry eye in the house once the credits began to roll and what made the episode even more haunting was the music chosen to highlight all the sadness.

WARNING: THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS IN THESE VIDEOS! DON'T WATCH UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW!

Our top picks this week include a moving ballad from one Lea Michele (who knows a thing or two about ballads) and a terribly wonderful rendition of Florence + The Machine's song, Shake It Out, performed by three of the show's most accomplished performers.

Check out Lea's version of Kelly Clarkson's Cry and Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz and Naya Rivera in their moving performance (above).

Then… you're going to want to CLICK THE JUMP to watch Chris Colfer channel Hugh Jackman (in one of the more uplifting moments of the episode), Mark Salling and his bros get heavy(metal) with My Fair Lady and the Trouble Tones strut their stuff in The Cell Block Tango.

All that is for your viewing pleasure … AFTER THE JUMP!

Emma Thompson Slams Audrey Hepburn!

hepthomp.jpg

The woman can't even defend herself — she's dead!

Emma Thompson is writing the screenplay for the remake of My Fair Lady and she certainly had some opinions about the 1964 version's star Audrey Hepburn.

"I was thrilled to be asked to do it because, having a look at it, I thought that there needs to be a new version. I'm not hugely fond of the film. I find Audrey Hepburn fantastically twee. Twee is whimsy without wit. It's mimsy-mumsy sweetness without any kind of bite. And that's not for me.

"She can't sing and she can't really act, I'm afraid. I'm sure she was a delightful woman - and perhaps if I had known her I would have enjoyed her acting more, but I don't and I didn't, so that's all there is to it, really."

Wowsa, Emma! Tell us how ya really feel!

What do U think?
