This TV Show Tricked A 13-Year-Old Girl Into Thinking She Was Going To Be Reunited With Her Estranged Mother On Mother's Day!
Because nothing's funnier than making a thirteen year old cry on TV on Mother's Day, right???
That's apparently what the producers at Cambodian TV show Penh Chet Ort (Like It Or Not) were thinking when they decided to air this nasty stunt.
13-year-old singer-songwriter Autumn Allen was making an appearance on a special Mother's Day episode of the show when the host said they were going to "surprise" her by reuniting her with her estranged mother.
The teary-eyed teen got visibly emotional and said it would be a "dream come true," and for a second it looked like we were going to witness a heartwarming reunion.
Except the only surprise they had for her was a comedian dressed in drag pretending to be her mother.
Hilarious, right??? NOT!!!
If the audience's awkward reaction didn't already tell the story, it didn't take long for the show to receive TONS of criticism for their tastelessness. They issued an apology, but that's just not enough in this case.
Ch-ch-check out the awful "prank" (below)!
