NASA Launch Photobombed By Frog! See The AH-Mazing Pic Here!

nasa launch frog

Talk about perfect timing! This is seriously a one-in-a-million photograph.

Last week, NASA's Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) spacecraft blasted off into space!

During liftoff, a photo was captured by one of NASA's remote cameras and it showed something pretty incredible: a frog being launched into the air by the force of the rocket's thrusters.

NASA confirmed the frog photo, saying:

"The photo team confirms the frog. The condition of the frog, however, is uncertain."

Hmm, yeah, we're not sure that frog survived being that close to a rocket blast.

It's theorized that the little froggy was that close to the launch pad because there's a pool of water around the pad used to dampen noise and protect the pad from blast damage.

The frog must've been just hanging out in the water at the wrong time. Poor little froggy…

Still, that's one AH-mazing photo!!

Robert Pattinson's Rover, Come On Over! New Flick Coming Stateside!

therover

Scientific fact: Robert Pattinson's Rover > Mars Rover! Sorry NASA!

Robert Pattinson's first flick after the Twilight series, The Rover, just got picked up by A24 for distribution in the US!

Yay! You hear that, everyone? Now we don't have to re-watch Twilight over and over again to get out R-Patz fix!

The Rover, which filmed over in Australia, features Robert Pattinson as an outlaw in a dystopian future who gets left in the desert by the rest of his gang. Pattinson then joins up Guy Pearce's reclusive character to help him find a stolen car.

So, basically The Rover = Dude Where's My Car + High Plains Drifter? Awesome.

Although no release date is set, we can't wait to see it! The only thing that could brighten a Twi-hard day more is if R-Patz was cast in 50 Shades of Grey!

endeavor space shuttle los angeles

Everyone in El Lay was freaking the eff out!!

People went to their rooftops this afternoon to get the best sighting of the Endeavor space shuttle as it made its zany loop de loop on top of a 747 around Tinsel Town.

The shuttle spent crazy time in space before making its final landing at LAX on Friday — marking the end of NASA's space shuttle program. Sadface!

But what a great finale!!

As Endeavor taxied on in at the United Airlines hangar, one man popped out of the cockpit's roof to wave an American flag while bystanders' emotions began to pour out.
