Gwyn Uses The Power Of The Goop To Bring Peace Between Ryan Murphy & The Kings Of Leon

It's been a turbulent ride, but we're glad there is finally peace.

It's no secret to anyone that there is very bad blood between the creators of Glee and the Kings of Leon. There's been all kinds of nastiness said on either side of the line, but tensions came to a head about a month ago when King's drummer Nathan Followill spewed some particulary hateful venom at creator Ryan Murphy. We thought after that there would be no salvaging a relationship.

However, we forgot about the undeniable force that is Gwyneth Paltrow. Sources report that while Gwyn was back at McKinely High filming her latest guest-appearance last week, she mediated a truce between Ryan and the band via text messages. We're told that both sides apologized and that everything is "all good now." In fact, if you were at KOL’s private after-Grammy party at Trousdale, you would have thought the band was downright chummy with the show, as Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet were invited to join in the festivities. Darren even belted out a cover of the band's Sex On Fire. (Video, anyone? Please send to us immediately!)

Like we said, we're all about rising above and we're glad to hear that this feud is pretty much put to rest.

Just don't expect Chord to be singing Use Somebody anytime soon. We still don't think they are on that good of terms.

Exclusive! Glee Creator Ryan Murphy Responds To Kings Of Leon Drummer's Homophobic Twitter Comments!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooExclusives!Gay Gay GayTwitterGleeKings Of LeonLGBT

We do love this man!

This afternoon, The Hollywood Reporter released their cover story about the business end of Glee. When creator Ryan Murphy was asked how he felt about Kings of Leon's rejection to his invitation to cover their music on the show, Ryan unapologetically rehashed his disappointment with the band’s ignorance to arts education.

His comments reached the ears of Nathan Followill, KOL’s drummer, who decided to write a disgusting response to Ryan on his Twitter page. He tweeted:

“Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f–k.”

If that isn’t the most glaring example of homophobia, we don’t know what is. We’re appalled.

We also have Ryan’s response to Mr. Followill, in an exclusive email he sent to us just moments ago.

Take a look, Nathan. This is how an upstanding gentlemen handles your kind of behavior.

Ryan tells us:

"Just read Nathan Followill's Tweet…in which he implied I should ‘get a manicure and buy a bra.’ Wow. That's a homophobe badly in need of some education. I'm all for manicures, don't wear a bra. Would guess most gay dudes don't. But it's telling that Nathan can reduce a group of people to a mean-spirited cliché, in a time where young gay men are killing themselves all over the country because of hatred like this.

That said, I would love to sit down with Nathan or any member of Kings and Leon, and tell them how on Glee we actually love their music, and support their artistry…but cannot condone or even laugh at their clear disdain of gay people. "

Neither can we! We’re shocked those cruel, stereotypical thoughts even crossed his mind, let alone made it onto the Internet.

Shame on you, Nathan.

UPDATE: Nathan has offered an apology.
