Way to help send us back to 1949, Colin…

Prior to Tuesday, Colin Kaepernick was easily seen as the most progressive player in the entire NFL — but unfortunately, that all changed on election night.

Despite championing the Black Lives Matter movement for months, the San Francisco '49ers quarterback dropped the ball when it came to electing Hillary Clinton to the Presidency this week… because we're hearing he didn't vote at all!

Apparently, the football phenom was so disenfranchised with both candidates that he elected not to enact his Constitutional right to vote — and now Donald Trump is our President.

Speaking to the San Francisco Chronicle on Wednesday, Colin defended his decision to ride the pine during the biggest moment in modern American history, saying:

The athlete admitted he was upset that the 83-year-old condemned his peaceful protest, saying:

"It is disappointing to hear a Supreme Court justice call a protest against injustices and oppression 'stupid, dumb' in reference to players doing that."

In fact, the NFL player explained that the New York native's comments completely avoid the actual issues of racism and police brutality in our country, adding:

We did NOT see this coming!

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently sat down with Katie Couric to chat about a whole slew of controversial topics.

In the new Yahoo! interview — released on Monday — the journalist asked the political figure how we can eliminate the racial divide within our country, especially the far-too-often police shootings of unarmed black men.

The 83-year-old responded:

"I think there are serious efforts to educate the police and local communities to the importance of rapport. … We are dependent on police officers for our security, but they should also be cognizant of the community that they serve."

But the conversation quickly changed to Colin Kaepernick's powerful protests against the National Anthem.

When asked her opinion on the San Francisco 49ers player's strong stance against the song, the New York native straight-up SLAMMED the sports star's demonstration, saying:

Watch Bill Maher Call Colin Kaepernick A 'F*cking Idiot' — But It's Not For The National Anthem Protest!

Sounds like Bill Maher is HEATED!

The Real Time host had a lot to say about NFL star Colin Kaepernick on his show on Friday night, even going so far as to call the athlete a "f*cking idiot" — although it's not exactly for the reason you may think.

Speaking to a panel that included Sarah Silverman, Maher went in on Kaepernick for comments the quarterback made about the presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, that insinuated neither one is a good choice for president.

In his initial comments last week, Kaepernick had said both candidates are "proven liars" who are "trying to debate who's less racist," and that absolutely set Maher off.

Watch Maher break down the quarterback's POV, here:

Former NFL Star Marshawn Lynch Would Rather See Colin Kaepernick Protest The National Anthem Than 'Put His Hands Up & Get Murdered'

Marshawn Lynch just made a very powerful point in support of Colin Kaepernick.

In the wake of Tulsa police fatally shooting unarmed Terence Crutcher, the Seattle Seahawks alum just perfectly defended the quarterback's decision to peacefully protest the National Anthem.

On Tuesday, the retired NFL star joined Conan O'Brien on his late-night show to literally stand up for the San Francisco 49ers player, poignantly saying:

"With what's going on, I'd really rather see him take a knee, than stand up, put his hands up, and get murdered."

So incredibly well-said, while tragically highlighting the serious police profiling problem throughout our country.

The 30-year-old hopes Colin's movement causes a societal shift across the nation, which will make everyone aware of the racism that still exists, and ultimately end it, adding:

"My take on it is, sh*t's gotta start somewhere. And if that was the starting point, I just hope people open up their eyes to see that there's really a problem going on, and something needs to be done for it to stop."

The ex-running back also called out everyone against the athlete's harmless display:

"And, I mean, if you're really not racist, then you won't see what he's doing as a threat to America, but just addressing a problem that we have."
