Wow — a very strong and explicit statement by the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers today!!!

The team opted NOT to come out for the National Anthem, a very specific non-violent protest response to Donald Trump's inappropriate comments yesterday about sports stars taking a knee during the Anthem before games.

We sort of knew some type of major protests were coming today after Trump's insane and inappropriate comments over the past few days, but this one was particularly poignant and we're proud of the Steelers for exercising their Constitutional rights to protest non-violently!

Here's how it all went down in real time (below):

DEE-FENSE! *clapclapclap* DEE-FENSE!

Aaron Rodgers may be a QB, but he's being anything but offensive with his comments about Colin Kaepernick.

The Green Bay Packers star has the back of the former 49ers QB, who has yet to be signed to a new team since he made waves by protesting police brutality by kneeling during the National Anthem.

While some have argued he isn't being punished for his stance but rather he just isn't good enough, many experts disagree — and Aaron is one of them.

He told ESPN Magazine it would be "ignorant" to believe the protesting has nothing to do with it; the truth is really simple:

Way to help send us back to 1949, Colin…

Prior to Tuesday, Colin Kaepernick was easily seen as the most progressive player in the entire NFL — but unfortunately, that all changed on election night.

Despite championing the Black Lives Matter movement for months, the San Francisco '49ers quarterback dropped the ball when it came to electing Hillary Clinton to the Presidency this week… because we're hearing he didn't vote at all!

Apparently, the football phenom was so disenfranchised with both candidates that he elected not to enact his Constitutional right to vote — and now Donald Trump is our President.

The athlete admitted he was upset that the 83-year-old condemned his peaceful protest, saying:

"It is disappointing to hear a Supreme Court justice call a protest against injustices and oppression 'stupid, dumb' in reference to players doing that."

In fact, the NFL player explained that the New York native's comments completely avoid the actual issues of racism and police brutality in our country, adding:

We did NOT see this coming!

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently sat down with Katie Couric to chat about a whole slew of controversial topics.

In the new Yahoo! interview — released on Monday — the journalist asked the political figure how we can eliminate the racial divide within our country, especially the far-too-often police shootings of unarmed black men.

The 83-year-old responded:

"I think there are serious efforts to educate the police and local communities to the importance of rapport. … We are dependent on police officers for our security, but they should also be cognizant of the community that they serve."

But the conversation quickly changed to Colin Kaepernick's powerful protests against the National Anthem.

When asked her opinion on the San Francisco 49ers player's strong stance against the song, the New York native straight-up SLAMMED the sports star's demonstration, saying:
